Sounds like Ashville will no longer be the front of shirt sponsor.

Will be interesting to see who will replace and, more importantly, how much it will be worth.

How hard would you laugh if the world renowned bread maker "Warburtons" got the gig?!?!?!

Their last advertising campaign involved muppets as well

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

As long as we don't go back to a betting sponsor.

Never knowingly right.

I really hope they sell sponsor less version of the home shirt in adult sizes as other clubs do.

If we're putting our faith in the academy next season, how about advertising rusks?

If we research them properly and they have the cash I have not got a problem with a betting company TBH

Why ? The Club would have to stock duplicate items and the deal will be worth less . It’s a lose lose .

Am sure it will be some Crypto rubbish

Why? Because shirt sponsors ruin the kit. Other clubs do it why can't we?

What tangible difference do you think that slight lose in revenue would make given our current situation? We can't even afford to put a sign on a stand, haha.

Why not scrap QPR cash instead? How does that benefit the club?

I don't want to pick on you specifically, but I see this a lot more aggressively put on twitter and it does tickle me that people think one of the biggest brands in the country, which has spent 2 decades building very close marketing connections with another sport, is going to sponsor a team in the championship with the a 19k capacity ground because they did in the 80s

Tried that the other week for the first time. Absolute rank.
At first it was palatable, felt like a Guinness with bit of funny after taste but by the time I was half way through the pint it was unbearably bad. Couldn't finish it. A fat No from me

Who in the top 2 divisions sell a male adult first team kit without the commercial partners name ?
If we can’t afford a sign for the stand why would we settle for a reduced deal? The QPR cash benefit will be priced into the cost of the tickets that accrued them . It’s a good way to shift end of season stock .

West Ham.

To be fair - they do have a sponsor on the arm, but I'm talking about the front of shirt sponsor.

I seem to remember about 20-odd years ago the club actually went and asked Guinness if they wanted to sponsor again, and they actually came back with this very reasoning, but wished the club well etc, and let the club market the retro guinness 80s kits. I think this was on the official site. Maybe Billy Rice's time, or Frayling's. one might remember what happened!

Bare bones.

West Ham’s shirt partner is Betway , betting partners are banned in some European countries so they had to take it off for Europa League games and prob guess that fans would buy an additional shirt for those games as well . If they had been knocked out early my guess is , if Betway got it right the shirts would have been withdrawn from sale .

Celtic also do it and have done so for many seasons.

Randomly I recall Lazio selling the sponsor less shirt as standard and charging more for the version with the sponsor, marketing it as the match day shirt.

I believe West Han done this for a number of seasons, I bought one a few seasons ago for a relative which gave me the idea.

Its a tad easier when you have the Sky squillions!

Any club in the EFL would be bonkers to turn down a shirt sponsor.

New Sponsor? on 18:52 - May 10 with 4828 viewsjoe90

I’m not saying we should turn down a shirt sponsor. I just want the option to buy the home kit without the sponsor on.

Huddersfield had a deal with Paddy Power where they weren’t on the front of the shirt. They did a pre-season stunt where they turned out a kit with a giant sash with the Paddy Power logo.

I quite like it, I thought it just tasted like a watered down version of the real thing which I like because Guinness is a bit to much like a meal for my liking but appreciate tastes vary.

New Sponsor? on 19:16 - May 10 with 4745 viewsessextaxiboy

That was Paddy Power buying the shirt front and using “not using it” as the campaign itself the sash stunt (which cost Huddersfield a fine) was to highlight what they were doing . A calculated gamble .
I bet Huddersfield were struggling to sell it .

My tasting notes are similar. First sip the body texture and flavour were similar to normal canned Guinness then my palate was left with an aftertaste of something similar to nail varnish. In a way I’m glad of this and have never bought the stuff again.
