You’re not the only one mate.I think my first game was in oct 1970,but I don’t know who it was against or the score.I remember it was pre decimal days and quite sunny and warm,so in was pre feb 1971,and being quite warm meant it was probably late Sept or oct 1970.The bloke who took me has been dead about 40 years,so it’s too late to ask him. I couldn’t afford the 7d for a programme or the 10d for the one with the football league review in it,so it will always be a mystery to me.
I do remember my elder children’s first game was against 2-1 win against Oxford because the temperature was about 95c and my son almost got sunstroke.I think that was about 1996.

We'd had a pretty torrid time at the Stamford Bridge fixture, fair bit of agg on the North Stand terrace during the first half, again when leaving the ground going down the walkway and also outside Fulham Broadway station.
Totally battered them and they were wearing an awful lime green kit if memory serves me right
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Clive Allen start of the 1979-80 season at home to Leicester City who beat us 4-1 Consolation penalty at the Loft end when it was a large terrace (before there were seats) Crowd was 13,091
Leicester went up as Champions We finished 5th
Can someone please remind me where the excel spreadsheet of our results and team by match per season can be found - I have mislaid it.
Cheers, James

Tony Ingham Testimonial match. QPR played an England WC squad XI and won 5-2 with Marsh getting a hat trick. That was when I became a glory hunter fan.
The grass is always greener.

As was stated, this match was on New Years Day & United were relegated that season. I think it was the first year that NYD fixtures were played unless it happened to fall on a Saturday.
