Roberts on 10:51 - Aug 30 with 4898 views | GeoffThom | He's fit again due back next game
Roberts on 10:56 - Aug 30 with 4871 views | max936 | How much are they willing to pay, ?
| |
Roberts on 10:57 - Aug 30 with 4864 views | jackrmee | ffs

Roberts on 11:02 - Aug 30 with 4825 views | jackrmee | Such a shame that we have some of our best players in the last year of contract.
| |
Roberts on 11:04 - Aug 30 with 4808 views | GeoffThom | Established international won't come cheap but cheaper than if he was on a longer contract
Roberts on 11:14 - Aug 30 with 4756 views | dobjack2 | Some might say that it is careless to allow that to happen.
Roberts on 11:15 - Aug 30 with 4751 views | max936 | Very careless. I think Winters is a waste of space.
| |
Roberts on 11:31 - Aug 30 with 4688 views | nantywatcher | I'm fast coming to the same opinion. As I stated elsewhere it looks like he has painted us so tightly in a corner with his activities over the last couple of months that we might have to accept peanuts for players that are hard to replace.
Roberts on 11:32 - Aug 30 with 4670 views | onehunglow | He is,as is Martin. It's not apparent now but it soon will. We've been kippered here.IMO. Russy said there would be several coming in. I don't think there will be.Hope to be proven wrong. If Connor and Grimes go,just look at what we have left AND we till have Russy and the uber fans pleading for patience for HIM to make things right. People are entrusting possibly our club future in the hands of an unproven ingenue manager from MK Dons. MK Dons .Think on that. Being relegated will truly be a trap door for us.IMO I can only see Blackpool as probable relegation candidates thus far.

Roberts on 11:37 - Aug 30 with 4662 views | magicdaps10 | It's not as easy as there is the contract, just sign it! When Premier league clubs are interested then we are unable to offer the weekly wage they can offer.
| |
Roberts on 11:41 - Aug 30 with 4639 views | Thornburyswan | So let me get this right OHL you believe we will sell Grimes & Roberts and bring no-one in over the next 35 hours?
Roberts on 11:46 - Aug 30 with 4622 views | dobjack2 | Once a player isn’t interested in a contract extension/new contract the writing is on the wall and that is the time to act. It’s a cutthroat business
Roberts on 11:46 - Aug 30 with 4610 views | onehunglow | Read what I read and do not fill in gaps. I am suggesting we COULD see connor and grimes go and have maybe 1 or 2 in to replace. I am also suggesting, given our histrory,we bring in Kids Injured players Sick players Ones for future development We brought in the likes of Asoro for £2 as one for the future. 800k for Whittaker, who gets a hatrick then will see him probably loaned out. Our first signing Joseph loaned out after a great show v Plymouth And you want to be patient!
| |
Roberts on 11:49 - Aug 30 with 4607 views | jackrmee | Who is that down to, Winter?
| |
Roberts on 11:51 - Aug 30 with 4597 views | jackrmee | If Martin doesn't manage to get the players in he said, I don't think that's his fault. That would mean he hasn't been backed, when he's been told he will be.
| |
Roberts on 11:52 - Aug 30 with 4592 views | jackrmee | Surely the time to act is earlier though>?
| |
Roberts on 11:54 - Aug 30 with 4584 views | jackrmee | If you don't want us to be patient, what do you suggest we do?
| |
Roberts on 11:55 - Aug 30 with 4581 views | magicdaps10 | I would say that they tried before now, always been talk that he wanted to get promoted with us but would see from there if it didn't happen. If we got promoted, possibly would have signed a new contract and we would be in a place to offer wages that say Burnley could pay now. Footballs a short career and he has to do what's best for him and his family.
| |
Roberts on 11:57 - Aug 30 with 4566 views | jackrmee | Yeah you're probably right. Thinking about it, if he hadn't got injured he'd be gone by now. If he hadn't returned from injury now, he would be staying. Can't be helped I suppose.
| |
Roberts on 11:59 - Aug 30 with 4546 views | onehunglow | Find a deity and pray. That seems the best option. By the way,how patient would you be. How long would you give Russy 3 months 6 months 12 months or 3 years-the length of his contract. Would you be patient enough to lock him at the club for 3 years. If not,why not.
| |
Roberts on 12:04 - Aug 30 with 4534 views | magicdaps10 | I will answer that, have to give him until atleast January. Think about it rationally, a month into his job and he is already being questioned. Cool heads Captain Mainwaring.
| |
Roberts on 12:06 - Aug 30 with 4527 views | jackrmee | I would definitely give him until Christmas to see some proper improvements. Even then, I wouldn't sack him for league position. Its all about progression in my eyes. Shouldn't be difficult for him to improve on what we saw in the last game, so as long as it's moving slowly forward, I'm behind him fully. Even if we are still in the relegation zone at Christmas. I understand fully why people are upset at the last performance, but we need to give the guy time. Plenty of it. I don't have the feeling or confidence I had when Potter was manager, but I am still optimistic.
| |
Roberts on 12:09 - Aug 30 with 4497 views | onehunglow | Well ,credit to you and good luck with that. I am utterly in disagreement . Bottom at Christmas Willis a portent of what will come and that would be because we trusted one man and one who is a novice. He has not the experience nor track record to give unfettered trust . That would be suicide .

Roberts on 13:31 - Aug 30 with 4328 views | jackrmee | Neither did Roberto have experience though. Monk too.
