Its a lot more than that as to why MW let him go/never gave him a new contract....

Was it because our fans told him that he was sh!t?

The grass is always greener.

Go on then spill the beans

The beans are that he was far too inconsistent or limited in many aspects of his game......

Good Luck to Lumley, didnt deserve the stick he received IMO, he was just having a very bad period but he needed to be moved on. The crowd were never going to forget / forgive and any mistake would have been jumped on every time he made one regardless of other performances. Also today i thought you could see the same old errors appear, fumbled a cross that he got away with and the goal, even though it was a resonable strike, it wasnt in the corner or a rocket of a shot, It was a ok shot but LOW and he has always been so slow in getting down to them, that and his feet are too slow so any shot were he hhs to dive low as a good chance. A lot like Rob Green, does some great saves then a shot that a very good keeper would save creeps in. IMO right move for club and player

Saw him and Hall in their starting line-up and thought it was a reflection of how good our options are with QPR cast-offs now playing for decent Championship teams.

Often, but not always. When he was in our good books he definitely had his moments launching fast counters out wide. Plus the memorably ballsy throughpass that started the move for Eze v Stoke.

It's all psychology with Joe really. Big vocal character and #1 swagger than turned out to be quite brittle, and hence why things snowballed so disastrously. Probably the weakness the crowd subconsciously preyed on in fact. Textbook candidate for Warnock to work his magic on, he can spot them a mile off.

Good luck to him, always thought he gave his best for Rangers, remember being at the Villa game on New Years Day and that whack he took, game stopped for ages, but he carried on and we got a great point.
