I am struggling to remember any players who left the Swansea nest in recent times that the club has looked on with regret.
In past days Georgio Chinaglia and Dean Saunders of course. Recently Ryan Hedges perhaps. Gwion has done OK. Norrington Davies would get into the first team.
Those "many" were massively jumping the gun. He'd been injured most of the season and despite the great goal return in a short run of games still looked very raw (or maybe limited is more accurate).
Was offered new terms (as stated in our retained list) but if he and his agent think they can do better then not one to worry much over imo.

So ….. we have signed half a dozen youth players from other clubs every season for the last 10 years, and none of them have turned out good enough to make it anywhere else….?
Are we using a lucky dip machine ?

You do not seem to understand the process. Good players go for very big bucks like McBurney and James. (£35m) This is not very common. Some clubs do not bring through these players at all. Cardiff City for example.
I do not think Swansea have signed more than 1 or 2 until recently.
