Regardless of footballing matters and whereas he is untried as a coach/manager he will have contacts .
However, as a person I have serious reservations. If Giggs is a complete and utter scumbag gutter rat, JT isn't many rungs further up the ladder in my opinion

Villa fans forums sorry to seem go, they still think as a human being he is a scumbag, but football wise done a great job there. Just hope Hourihane isn't part of the deal!

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

I wouldn't be too concerned, if Eustace turned us down there is no way Terry would come here.

Not coming here mate.

That would depend on Eustace's reasons.

1/10.......

Dr P said before that prices that low would be not just money going on, but also who is putting it on did he not? Apologies if I'm mistaken.

He’s 1/10 at the moment. Someone has probably put a few quid on him.

Can’t see the club going for this kind of appointment. Far more likely to be someone young and hungry than someone who can just walk away to his millions. If they have managed to make that happen with Cooper, there’s a huge possibility it could with someone who’s already a huge name and filthy rich.

On the plus side, huge connections, great relationship with Chelsea.

I don’t think they’d even consider him to be honest.

Just looking now and it only appears to be skybet running a book, who have him at 1/4. Who had the 1/10 out of interest?

Generally it will never get into 1/10 (or anything close) without there being some certainty behind the developments, similar to QPR fella.

This will be a mix of solid information and pattern of who is backing it. I am sure we will be hearing shortly he has had an interview.

As unlikely as I thought it would be, with the market as it is, I fully expect him to be the front runner with the board at this moment in time.

He seems to be a bit of a vile individual, or certainly was at least. Always remember Bellamy’s scathing comments about him (not that he’s all that better). Not a great representation of our club.

But these owners do tend to lean towards commercial opportunities. We saw that in January this year and we saw it with the Bradley appointment. Terry is certainly a “name”. One positive about him is that he’s certainly a leader.

But stinks of a horrible appointment to me, should it be that far along. I fully expect news to be breaking of the developments very soon and we will know where we stand.

It’s not really a complete market, there only appears to be SkyBet offering it.

In this situation they could be risk mitigating too I guess. Considering we are the only open job of any note around and he seems to have left the post at Villa for a reason, they may just be moving shorter out of preemptive risk management knowing they don’t have to compete with other books, they can essentially name their price.

Give it 24 hours and all will be clear. If they remain short then there is seriously something in it, if they move it back out then there probably isn’t. The issue being is while he is short, options like Jody Morris remain high, which they won’t want as it appears to be one or the other.

As soon as Jody Morris shortens they will need to lengthen Terry to keep the integrity of the market.

I wouldn’t listen to them, he’s 16/1. He just simply wouldn’t be if that were true.

It looks like it’s Morris or Terry (or maybe a Chelsea combination of both?).

100%, when there is a bit of money to be made, people can’t help themselves. Follow the money and you will tend to find the truth.

If we don’t appoint Terry or Morris ( or Martin as he’s coming in price wise too) I’ll be pretty shocked with only 2 weeks to go. You would imagine it will be done and dusted in the next few days.

If Toshack was being seriously considered, 1600% return on investment is not something those in the know would be passing up.
