Mark Warburton — Patreon on 11:13 - Jul 19 with 8160 views | francisbowles | Yes great stuff, I've just finished reading it and it's a lovely, we all know who he means, teaser at the end. Will try and listen in the next couple of days as well. Would love to know what the three big misses were!
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 11:17 - Jul 19 with 8142 views | Northernr | Should have asked him about his contract after the stuff about the FA - Dave Mc has subsequently said he's getting a new one shortly, would have been nice to get that. Should have asked him if we'd be done if we got Moses and Stef over the line, or whether there was more to come after that. And should have asked, on mic, whether our players have been double jabbed in the Covid thing. I asked afterwards and the answer was most, not all, they'd like all to be done by the opening day. PFA not being helpful.
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 11:29 - Jul 19 with 8059 views | BazzeR | Thanks Clive for producing a very enjoyable piece that has whetted my appetite for the coming season. It would be interesting to hear MW perspective on England in the recent Euros Tournament especially on tactics and player penalty selections.
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 11:32 - Jul 19 with 8040 views | dmm | A very, very good interview, Clive. Thank you for all the work you put into it. And, it reads like you're on good terms now!
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 12:11 - Jul 19 with 7787 views | NW5Hoop | Not a miss of yours, but I'd like to know from managers how far ahead they can realistically plan. Is football now so short-termist that they can only think of the season ahead, or do they come to a job thinking about where they want the team to be in three years?
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 12:13 - Jul 19 with 7775 views | Northernr | Noted for next time.

Mark Warburton — Patreon on 12:22 - Jul 19 with 7734 views | E1Hoop | Thank you, a really great read. I really like the way you ask short and open questions. It promotes really interesting and wide ranging answers. So often interviewers like to demonstrate their knowledge in a long question that leads the interviewer to a narrow and obvious answer.
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 12:43 - Jul 19 with 7606 views | robith | He always reads like a very interesting man to talk to. Seems to have a fairly serious and well thought out opinion on almost everything in football

Mark Warburton — Patreon on 13:08 - Jul 19 with 7456 views | BAWHoops | Great interview and glad he seems to share the cautious optimism of the fanbase at the moment. Seems absolutely everyone is singing from same hymn sheet. Minor point, but I loved the way that when he referenced players he always got their name right. I've heard so many managers refer to players incorrectly (Sako for Saka, Sanchez for Sancho etc), but MW seems to have a real encyclopaedic knowledge of players around the world. To be able to talk about Suso one minute and Pritchard the next is great He's such an asset to the club and one can only dream how different things would've been had he been in place years ago

Mark Warburton — Patreon on 13:35 - Jul 19 with 7307 views | terryb | Thanks Clive. A very enjoyable read. I don't believe there would be many managers as open ass MW was. Just 19 days now till I'm able to meet friends in the pub beforehand, hand over £5 to Dave Thomas & then watch MY TEAM! I can't wait! COYR's
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 13:45 - Jul 19 with 7255 views | Greenbay | Thanks Clive. That was such an enjoyable read. Here's looking forward to a very positive season. Let's hope that we all back Warburton 100% when those inevitable patches of pitfalls appear. He's a clear thinker, honest and as he says himself 'respectful' What more could you want from a manager and his team - teaching youngsters, not just football ,but the way we should behave. He's the best manager we've had in decades.
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 13:55 - Jul 19 with 7204 views | derbyhoop | Excellent job. And Warbs comes across as serious, committed and knowledgeable. The bit about recruitment was particularly interesting to me. I don't think many have begun to comprehend how difficult it will be to recruit foreign players for the Championship and below. Hence the focus on players who have the right to play in England, e.g. Dozell, McCallum and Dunne.

Mark Warburton — Patreon on 14:27 - Jul 19 with 7036 views | flynnbo | Thanks, Clive. Warbs sounds like a Dave Sexton type of manager who is a great thinker and is looking at other sports in a constant search for improvement which is highly commendable.

Mark Warburton — Patreon on 14:52 - Jul 19 with 6897 views | Kingstan | Thanks Clive, that was a smashing read which has made me even more excited about the forthcoming season. I was very interested in MW's thoughts regarding feeder clubs and I wonder wether I will see this happening before I see us moving to a new stadium.
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 15:11 - Jul 19 with 6813 views | JamesB1979 | Half way through and brilliant stuff. Thanks Clive. This is definitely helped me get over the Euro Final.....take my mind off fact I've now got Covid....and most importantly, can't wait for the new season!
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 16:37 - Jul 19 with 6457 views | slmrstid | It'll be interesting to see the effect this has on the quality of the Football League in seasons to come. As was alluded to on the Hampton & Richmond thread, there's players at that level who maybe 15-20 years ago would have been league footballers but the influx of overseas players into tiers 2-3 of England has forced some of those players lower down as then only the better domestic players stay higher up the pyramid. Maybe over years to come with Brexit we'll see that process reversed. Thanks for your work Clive, great read.
Mark Warburton — Patreon on 19:46 - Jul 19 with 5928 views | ed_83 | Great interview as always Clive. Have to say, I do ever so slightly miss the drama and tension of previous chats now that the atmosphere around the place is so positive, but this was still hugely informative and makes me even more optimistic for the season ahead.
