Who says he is though?

Having an interview for two bigger clubs doesn’t mean he’s desperate to leave, means he is interested in what options he has and what other clubs have to say.

It’s nothing out of the ordinary. I for one hope he stays for a number of reasons.

Crumbling

Genuine question, does he know the route you chose to go down when you were having arguments with him on an internet forum? Has he been informed? It's very, very creepy and you know this.

Yes crumbling, like a cheap sand castle.

Yes Carl knows I changed his avatar a decade ago yes. I love the fact you and your mate hold that in such high esteem.

Want me to try and change yours?

.

That's the thing though - he isn't desperate to go (well, he certainly wasn't until the big clubs came calling).

He'll brush himself down, and kick on and give us a fighting chance. Buoyed by the significant interest and form being in the same conversations as such exalted Premier league manager company.

A conversation over different views doesn’t have to go anywhere. I’m not trying to convince you to agree with me, just that I see it different. I do not find Cooper’s two years in charge more pleasing than Potter’s because we ended in the playoffs. The feeling that you do is personal to you as ultimately it is the only thing that matters to you when measuring success. It’s all about feelings. Cooper’s time in charge hasn’t progressed us any more than Potter’s time. Cooper’s football has largely been miserable and uninspiring, Potter’s raised some hope. Ultimately the result was the same.

No no, we know what else. We shall find out soon enough don't you worry

Crumbling over a subject which you have been spectacularly wrong about (again) at every turn. Your mental state is deteriorating by the hour, as I say, it's rather tragic now more than funny.

Lol you have been listening to someone who hasn’t got a clue again it seems, I would have thought you had learned from the last time, but clearly not. You are as desperate as each other, sorry chap you won’t be getting an inch again from me.

Yes you are absolutely crumbling, you have gone from saying you won’t clog up the threads anymore after I cornered you to back your claims with some bets. You refused and skulked off. Then you said Cooper would be gone within 2 days where as I said they would have to pay the cash or he stays....

Now it looks like he may stay you have exploded in a fit of rage. Quite magnificent to behold

Have another go.

Really?

I’ve always been one of the fans who have supported him. But now he absolutely has to go.

Simple as that.

Our management of these situations btw is shambolic. We appear to learn absolutely nothing.

Yep, he is simply currently the best man for the job as far as I’m concerned.

He has proven that over the last 2 seasons. Players and managers are always going to have their heads turned by bigger clubs. Sometimes those moves will materialise, sometimes they won’t.

Unless we get an offer we deem as acceptable then he stays.

Fit of rage I have given you direct quotes from your actual posts. I'll say again, it has gone from finding your outbursts funny, to actually quite sad, the delusion you have shown even in the face of being wrong with every turn, something just doesn't seem right about you i'm sorry say.

Yes I have heard about the situation with you and that other fella, it was brought up by someone who told me to be careful after reading mine and your posts back and fore on here. To do something like that, I find weird, and creepy if I'm being honest.

Yes fit of rage. Yes you gave direct quotes of me saying the correct situation. You haven’t explained what point you are making. I read the quotes and patted myself on the back for being right again, which part are you confused over?

Lol ok, I think it’s pretty creepy to be following around some bloke you don’t know on the internet and having chats about him. But whatever floats your boat I suppose squire. I’ll take it as an extreme compliment, I’m clearly getting to you, I don’t give you a second thought off here...

He’s not the best man for the job if he’s not interested in the job.

Same as every other job.

It’s one thing stating he’s committed but if something else comes up that appeals more for whatever reason he goes. It’s quite another thing to stay absolutely silent about him wanting to be here for almost a month of speculation.

He doesn’t want to be here, and we don’t want him to be here by the looks of things.
1

patrick vieira to palace on 15:32 - Jun 30 with 599 viewsDr_Parnassus

But we don’t know if he’s interested in the job or not, if he’s not then he’ll resign. Because the alternative is staying and lowering his stock by an apathetic attitude. It wouldn’t make any sense.

If we didn’t want him to be here we would ensure the deal goes through by asking next to nothing like Fulham did with Parker, I don’t think we would even entertain that at this stage.

As far as I’m concerned if he doesn’t leave then it’s business as usual. It makes no sense for anybody for him to put half efforts in.

It’s rare indeed that a manager gives up his compensation. But it’s fairly widely accepted he wants to go. His silence is deafening.

And you are assuming our management are adept at achieving the best outcome from negotiating. What do you base that on?

It’s not a case of half efforts. If he doesn’t want to have here for the medium term let alone the long term that attitude will filter through irrespective of efforts. Everyone will know that the very first option to leave that arises will be taken. And that’s not a great motivator.

Clucking hell so that shite we endured last season involved effort from Cooper.

And there was me thinking his mind numbingly uninspiring football just came natural.

It’s widely accepted he wants to go to a bigger club yes, but that doesn’t mean it’s widely accepted he simply wants to leave. I would imagine the majority of our squad would like to go to a bigger club for more money if the opportunity arose, doesn’t mean they don’t want to be here or don’t want to try though.

In fact that desire to go on to bigger and better things would spur most people on to put yourself in the shop window. Again I refer to Dan James and Ferrie Bodde. Neither got their move after making it clear they wanted to go, both came back and arguably played even better.

This is modern football, everyone knows the score. Loyalty died out years ago, if there is a bigger club calling - everyone will go. I’m pretty sure Sousa used to say to the players that the very reason they should be playing well is to put themselves in a position to leave for bigger and better things. Pretty sure I read that on here.

I won't shed a tear if he feels he needs to leave to progress his career, it will quite likely progress my enjoyment of the Swans, but I don't subscribe to the mantra that he has to go. If he stays we will support him. My feeling is that he is going nowhere as no club serious about progressing will be willing to take a chance on him. Happy to have these words shoved back down my throat if he leaves for better.

I’m unsure what more the club can do tho Lisa. He has obviously been given permission to sort out his destination this summer. All the club can do is work within the close season to replace him and or retain him. It’s an impossible situation for the swans for me.

Cooper has been very naive for me.

He has applied for every job going should of made it clear to clubs that he was only interested in talking if they were happy to pay the compensation and were serious about giving him a job.

His position with us is almost untenable now.

I think they have to realise that he’s not so sought after that someone will pay millions (it’s not a Brendan to Liverpool situation). He’s someone that clubs may take a punt on. But clubs don’t take a punt at a huge cost. Given if it doesn’t work, the budget for paying him off has been spent in getting him in initially. If, and it’s an if (we don’t know so can only go on what is being said) the price is causing an issue, there’s a decision that needs to be made.

If they want him out, and let’s be honest there’s been no statement of support, or even slight public hope he’ll stay, they either accept less now, and get sorted for the coming season, or end up paying him off in a few months perhaps.

They seemingly aren’t great at realising who holds the cards. Both when they do, or when another does.
0

patrick vieira to palace on 16:37 - Jun 30 with 489 viewslondonlisa2001

I’m pretty sure he’s let it be known he’s open to approach.

Which amounts to the same thing.

Perhaps he believed his position was strong enough that the clubs would pay for him. The problem now is other clubs can just call our bluff. They know we are in a crap position over this. Pre season is starting.

Yes we don't want him to stay would be busting a gut with a new contract otherwise.

Cooper does not wan't to stay either his ego thinks he can do better but the owners giving the jobs out think otherwise.

The situation has been handled poorly by all but his lack of commitment should be setting off all sorts of alarm bells.

How can you expect players to give 100% when it's clear the manager does not give a toss.
