I recall it very well. Working as a therapist in the NHS, I was apoplectic seeing them anywhere near our club. I cold called David Bottomley and ended up on a zoom call that night. I still have most of his extensive ramblings jotted down somewhere.
Another piece of subterfuge given what we know now.
Curran was there that night too, protesting fans saw him on the car park (there are pictures of the people arriving and the vehicles somewhere on the internet).
Local minor celebrities were added to add that hint of Hollywood and Roger thought that Curran et all would be impressed ahead of a 1 June 2021 EGM.
Not sure if Martin Halsall was there but it is now very clear that the Swindon Town game was the beauty parade for interested buyers and if you look at the cars in the car park that night it was the interested buyers fluffing up their feathers to conclude who would be Roger's front runner.
"All tits and teeth" - great phrase.
George Bernard Shaw had it right:
"He who can does; he who cannot, teaches."

Fascinating to view events a year on as things are being bumped. Twas amazing to see how fast a "club statement" appeared when criticism of the Speakmans went round, in comparison to apologies for poor "communication" when we weren't even told about a managers contract extension, or much else, until several months later. Pure, blatant, self-interested Bottomley at work. Remember how in March last year he sent out a letter to everyone on the club database via Royal Mail (wasting loads of money), then e-mail and then online trying to excuse the BBM contract extension fiasco because HE thought it was in HIS interest? If failed. This is a year old...
How fortunate we are to be rid of Bottomley.

Speakman statement on 13:19 - Apr 13 with 2778 views
From my conversation with David Bottomley, they were never going to invest funds. They wanted access to the squad in order to practice their dangerous pseudoscience.
They were already known to some people in the boardroom prior to their appearance in the stands. One person within the club knew Mr Speakman from business circles, and another one was seemingly a fan of their work.
Agree - one of my favourite ever posts on here - sums up those fraudulent charlatans perfectly! Can't believe they still get airtime!
Funny thing is though - I seem to remember we actually won the next couple of games after their motiviational appearance so maybe my cynicism is unfair?
