Looking at the bigger picture, WP averages around 3 goals a season. Even if he keeps his higher rate up, he will only ever be a /4/ 4.5 goals a season player over his career.
Mount is already at least a 5 goals a season players, and likely to be a 6/7 goals a season player by the end of the season, and this is only his second season.
There is no comparison between the players, which is why Mount keeps getting picked by the England boss.
Mount is already on the wane, take out the 4 he scored in 7 games at the beginning of last season and for a guy that takes free kicks his stats are pretty average. 6 in his last 50 prem games.
So, after 75 PL games, WP had scored precisely 1 PL goal. Mount hasn't even played 75 games yet, and he already has 10 PL goals.
I suppose if you only score 1 goal in your first 3 PL seasons, then the only move is to step-up, unless your boss puts you in the reserves. Oh, with that amount of apps in 3 seasons, he probably did.
Wardprowse was 17 when he broke into the first team, and not played in an easy dutch league.
Facts speak for themselves - Mounts powers are on the wane. 6 goals in his last 50 prem games. Not very good for someone who takes set pieces. Now uncle Frank has gone his game time is looking like it might be cut down
The reason he broke into your team so young, was because the team wasn't a strong PL team, unlike at Chelsea where Mount decided to go on loan.
As graduates, only Morris, and Terry before him had been successful at breaking into the first team and becoming a long term fixture. Loftus Cheek was the first player since Terry to join the club as a nipper and score for them. Mount has already overtaken Loftus-Cheek in the goal stakes.
WP wouldn't have lasted at Chelsea. he has developed very slowly at a small PL club, it's been the perfect place for him to develop, with little expectations, unlike at Chelsea.
I think the only fact you need concern yourself with is that neither play for Portsmouth Athletic or AFC Portsmouth or whatever the fcuk your lot are called.

That would be ok if it were his 2nd season, but it’s his 4th.
He actually got sussed after 8 games last season. 3 goals in his last 29 . Mason a 1 in 10 chap now. No goals and no assists. He won’t last long at Chelsea now uncle Frank has gone
