It’s incredibly frustrating and I’m sorry but the buck does stop with Warburton.
The game is about how many you score and concede not about how pretty you are in possession.
Possession is only a means to an end.
In possession, especially inside the opposition box we’re too arrogant. We don’t care enough about “making sure” about the final ball or shot. We play like we think many more chances will come along. And they do, but we again don’t make enough of the next few chances.
And at the other end, we are unbelievably fragile.
City look a proper side. They’re not playing pretty football but they’ve scored 2 and missed a one on one in the few minutes. They deal with set pieces and the manage the game as a professional team. | | | |
