The first 3 UB40 albums are so strong. I don’t mind Labour of Love either. Then it was mostly about paying the bills. I remember seeing a photo of the band with their families and partners and kids and relations and roadies and it was like the population of a medium-sized town in Dorset. A lot of mouths to feed. I don’t begrudge whatever they did after Labour Of Love. Mind you I don’t listen to any of it either. And as for Reggaewaddywaddy 🤣 Brilliantly put.

Dancing to anything by 'The Human League' and Bela Lugosi's Dead" at The Padded Cell' each Saturday night seems a abit hollow now after a 5-4 QPR win. Is this what getting old is?

Master for me. Agree about the rawness of Ride and it's a close one but in my opinion I think Master was the apogee for Metallica and laid the foundations for their mega success with the Black album. Plus the last that they did with Cliff makes it all the more poignant... I still get a lump in my throat when I hear the opening bars to Orion.
But best 80s album for me has to be Reign in Blood by Slayer.

LTTI is hands down the best album from that scene. Aged far better than the rest imo. Should've been a bigger album. Saw their reunion a few years back and they still had it for sure.
