Not sure there is eyebrows being raised, but suspect lower division clubs are looking at us a potential money bags cash cow after the Eze money. Judging by what have acquired so far, as well as what appear to have walked away from, you have to trust that the club know what they are doing. I do suspect that if the sums are the 200-800k range indicated, we will be much nearer the 200K than the 800k for a relatively unproven 18 year old prospect.
That said, he looks to have some talent which seem to believe that we can improve on. Just interesting whether we see him as a genuine first team squad player or an U23 prospect. If its U23 development player it seems odd to be paying for him unless we see him coming in sooner rather than later. | |

I think its also important to remember Les (I believe it was him) talking about the recruitment of the academy, and making sure that we are bringing in players that are "better than our own" and not just bringing in players that are already at our existing players level...
Which sounds hilarious that he even has to say out loud, but at least there is a plan, and seemingly a working one (albeit early days I suppose). | | | |
