Poll: Will we stay up?

Wonderful to finally own our two strikers. Warburton's attacking football is primed to make forwards look good, and while Wells' and Hugill's respective parent clubs reaped the financial reward from their from good form, I'd love if we could do the same with Bonne and Dykes after watching them smash the goals in for a couple of years.

Great news felt after Saturday that Dykes needed support. Hope the lad as a bit of pace as apart from BOS we are lacking forward pace
Like above I'm wondering in these times how we are affording this. I would have thought even a 700k plus wages we would struggle to make it
Perhaps there is little chance of Manning or Lumley getting back in the fold

Bonne and Dykes has a nice ring to it!
A pair of outlaws, lethal marksmen, shooting up the opposition!

Scored 1 in 3 for a relegated team.

That is a pretty good return if you ask me.

Left footed but seems to take penalties with his right foot..

Bonne and Dykes total wage is more than likely less than we were paying Hugill last season. What we were paying Wells goes towards the transfer fees.

Nice clips, thanks. Gives an idea of his game.

Bonne chance.

Sounds promising.

If you ever get to do an interview North you could call it Bonne and Clive...

Interesting that the Supple stats have him as an upper percentile fox in the box when the general Charlton consensus seems to be he works hard, makes all the right runs and can't put them away...

They would know more than us having watched him week in week out but a goal every three games, in a team that got relegated, in his first ever Championship season, sixth in the division for finishing chances, doth not suggest somebody who can't put them away. But we'll see I guess.

He's one in three across his career - that's the key one for me.

Am I odd to be more positive about these signings than I was when we were signing Park, Boswanka, Hoilett (alright I was up for that one), Caulker (was hugely in favour of that one as well) and the rest of the Wild Geese?

Do you even like QPR? It seems sometimes like you don't or is it just the current set up? What would you change if you could?

Caulker I think I famously described as a perfect signing that even QPR couldn't mess up. I liked him, Mutch and Hoilett. So that says a lot for my judgement.

George Thomas my favourite so far this summer, though I'd be genuinely excited by Willock if there's any truth in that.

There is a clip of Bonne's 25 goals for Orient on YouTube. Predator-like rather than particularly creative - but quick and with a shot on him - hope this helps. Suspect he's more Derek Hales than Messi - only not the same size as Hales.

But also, the transfer fee Charlton paid for Bonne was likely less than the loan fee we paid for Hugill at about the same time... This is the next step in our evolution, finding the Bonnes, Adomahs, Matt Phillips of this world that one move earlier, when they're at Orient, Barnet, Wycombe respectively.

I do love it when a new signing scores on his debut.

I was at Hillsborough when Gregory Ronald St Clair Goodridge scored from the corner, deep joy--deepest joy, great journey home that day.

Onwards.

Bonne? That’s good isn’t it?

So much about goal scoring is about being in the right position at the right time. Which was why Hughill was a decent forward despite missing a lot and Washington wasn't as he was never in the right place, even though he probably had an ok conversion rate for goals per shot (that was my impression anyway). I like the fact that this guy is often around the penalty spot in these chances, which is where through balls and crosses often end up and he seems to have the strength to out-muscle the defenders.

Decent signing in prospect (even though I admit we haven't seen him in action yet). It also takes some of the pressure off Dykes, Chair and BOS to be the main goal scorers.

Can't help but think things are are a Whole Lotta Rosie for a team with Bonne and a Scot up top.
