F*ck SKY

F*ck the presenter who tried to run a negative story on us for views.

F*ck anyone/anything that continually denies free speech.

Oh and f*ck sky again.

I believe we haven’t taken taken a knee before a game since Wigan in July.

That was not off the cuff but premeditated in my view. The club should go for Sky and seek a full retraction of what they stirred up. The result is insignificant tonight compared to the inference that Sky levelled that QPR is a racist club.
Amit and Lee need to stick the boot in big-time and quickly. Shameless airing by Sky tonight.

If our club comes out fighting on this - really, really fighting, speaking about the systemic racism with the passion, frustration and anger that we have in the past - it could be huge for the fight to end racism in sport.

I get we are pissed off, and far be it of me to act like Mr Righteous after what I post, but is the opening comment necessary? I wouldn’t like my Partner or Mum to be described that way.

I for one am glad they didn't take the knee.

It's been hijacked by white middleclass marxists with their own agenda.

You never hear of this being mentioned.

I will though

Sky coverage really upset me tonight. Complaint to Ofcom making my feelings known. Simple task and takes less than five minutes

"It's been hijacked by white middleclass marxists with their own agenda."

I don't agree. It is still well intentioned for the most part.

Clive has it right though. Actions speak louder than words/gestures.

Suffering since 1978.

It was a broad sumery.

However they are using it as part of the 'cancel culture' movement.

Bunch of utter c**ts. Thank God we didn't take a fcuking knee.

This imaginary racism witch hunt is American, has no place dragging us down, we like black people ffs.

I think this warrants a formal response from QPR with a threat of legal action against Sky if an apology is not forthcoming.

It's a gesture, but ISTM that other clubs are happy to do the gesture in lieu of actual action. Whereas I think we can mount a pretty decent argument that we actually back up the gestures with our diversity inside the club and as a fan base.

In an ideal world I'd like us to put out a statement reaffirming our anti-racism/diversity credentials and challenge every other club (and Sky) to state what they're ACTUALLY DOING to fight systemic racism in football.

Not just when it’s vogue Sky.

The most inclusive professional football club in the UK yet they want to flag this incident?

To lose my paltry £35 per month subscription won’t hurt them much but that is me cancelling.

I don’t think anyone should be forced to do anything. That in itself is a form of control.

Not performing a certain action does not mean you do not agree with it or are even a protagonist of what it is standing up against.

Leader. Legend. Tosser. Speaker of racist words. Has taken the Knee (and worked for Sky).

That is the lipservice this "gesture" allows.

Can we go out yet?

If McAnuff has actually said we’re a racist club we should go after him for libel. You can’t go around saying that sort of thing unchecked these days. We must do more for racial equality than any other club. Meanwhile, CaptainB@llendW@nker takes the knee at a televised charity match. Says it all about taking the knee. Actions speak louder than words.

McAnuff sounds like just another thick ignorant footballer if he’s even suggested we’re racist.

Make a big statement, go after the dick and make an example of him.

I don’t recall McAnuff calling us racist.

Well done QPR
Why are we taking a knee anyway, ??? The club has black & white coaches , black & white players
People who work behind the scenes who are black and white
Maybe just maybe everyone gets along and doesn’t see colour but sees a friend/ colleague which is what it’s about
we have done as much as anyone to bring people together we don’t need to be involved in this latest premier league fashion parade of millionaire footballers behaving as if they are Tommie Smith in 1968

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

SKY on 08:12 - Sep 19 with 3016 viewsdaveB

She didn't call the club racist and spoke after the game about all the good work QPR does.

It should be a choice if you do it or not. The England cricket team didn't do it recently, we haven't done it for a while and it's turning into an empty gesture with no action coming from it like standing outside clapping for the NHS whilst you are voting against a pay rise for them when it actually matters

SKY on 08:31 - Sep 19 with 2935 viewsingeminate

All true.

Still really badly managed by QPR.

Warburton banged on about no guidance, that’s a fair point but was clearly being evasive and just looks shifty. Coventry made it clear they wanted to we said no. Clearly for some reason we aren’t taking a knee. In the next interview we have to be clear why not. Otherwise it’s just pointlessly shit PR for the club. Can’t expect everyone out there to know the inner workings of our football club.

And to be clear I’ve no issues with them not taking the knee, couldn’t be prouder of the leading role QPR have taken in the community across the board/number of black coaches etc. Just sort out the messaging and give a straight answer.

Unfortunately if you do not do as you are told, exactly when you are told to do so then you are racist.

The EFL has dropped the BLM logo and motto so why the hell should players take a knee?

All divisive BS.

SKY on 08:45 - Sep 19 with 2886 viewsDixie_CT

Badly managed because Sky made a point about it. Trying to generate interest and content from a non-story that places QPR as the antagonist.

Do we really watch sport and support clubs to make a stand and make a difference? I don't. I do that mainly through my job, my politics or my wider choices.

Les Ferdinand said it very well when he said that this isn't a football issue, it is a societal one. Don't expect footballers and people involved in it to come up with the answers.

The world feels bonkers at the moment and there is very little left of the past to enjoy.

SKY on 08:49 - Sep 19 with 2867 viewsingeminate

Sky made a big deal of it though post match all three presenters recognised the work QPR has done so it wasn’t the hatchet job some are making out.

The point is you are going to do something a bit different like not taking a knee in the current climate then sort out your messaging. It’s not rocket science.

You're right, it's not rocket science, it's harder than that.

No one has an answer for any of this. No form of measurment, no guidance from those elected and such a complex issue boiled down to a binary arguement means we will stuggle to make any progress.

All too jumpy up and down with little logic from the overwhelming majority.
