Some good points made by a number of posters.
Some of these salaries are well OTT and quite a few I wouldn’t give tuppence to listen to/watch, but people want to be entertained and talent does command a premium.
Huw Edwards works out at £10k per week, compare that with Boris Johnson who did a speech at JCB before being elected PM and picked up a £10k donation, his stock has since gone up, Theresa May reportedly got £115k for a speech and Tony Blair’s got even more! | | | |

Let's play that back and examine...
1. You offer an opinion that everybody who works on BBC news is a Tory and are responsible for the last election result. (This opinion, by definition is extreme)
2. I offer a counter opinion that the majority of BBC news are on the left (I have backed this opinion up on other threads concerning the BBC, pointing out what they choose to report on and what they don't).
3. You infer that I am a Nazi and explicitly state that I have "a diseased mind".
Anyone with half a brain...who is paying attention...can see that you are irrational, emotional, biased, and deeply, deeply, unpleasant.
I won't be going anywhere son. You on the other hand have an option if you don't want your precious feelings hurt by alternative opinions to your own. It's called Planet Swans and you can go there and discuss such topics as 'Why is this board so quiet?' with fascinating people like yourself.
