Armstrong 19:55 - Sep 10 with 1806 views | saint22 | Out of game Saturday injured Never mind we have lots of midfield depth.............oh hold on
Armstrong on 20:13 - Sep 10 with 1781 views | I_would | I'm, sure Prowsey can handle 2 positions , he usually does 5 or 6.

Armstrong on 20:17 - Sep 10 with 1772 views | green | I see Batshuayi has signed for Palace. Is he eligible to play against us? Would be great to pull off a win on the opening day and keep last season's run going from the end rather than starting in the same way such as that defeat at Burnley.
Armstrong on 20:37 - Sep 10 with 1733 views | kernow | Not good. He'll be missed.
Armstrong on 21:02 - Sep 10 with 1701 views | DorsetIan | Yes he will. I think he has become very important in the mix of our attacking play. A final chance for Boufal to replace him and shine, if he is fit?
| |
Armstrong on 21:23 - Sep 10 with 1672 views | TimSaint | Shame he is missing, as not only has he been great recently, but scored a cracker against them at Selhurst Park, in our 2-0 win last season. As a back up and assuming Redmond is in the left, we have the following players who can all play in his position. Djenepo Boufal JWP Long Smallbone Valery Sims McQueen .....and possibly Tella ...yet you have written your post to suggest we don't have any options.
| |
Armstrong on 21:24 - Sep 10 with 1669 views | saint22 | Yep Ever since JWP moved inside with Romeu Armstrong has owned that right berth It’s insane we are already looking short before we have even kicked off Strap in gonna be another long season
Armstrong on 21:46 - Sep 10 with 1631 views | ericofarabia | Damn you!! I've just been reading how we are going to win the league, Fa Cup, Champs League Cup and World Cup, and now you tell me it's the end of the world because Armstrong is injured.
Armstrong on 23:04 - Sep 10 with 1545 views | NYC_Saint | One player injured for one game and it's going to be a long season before we've even kicked a ball in anger??? Even by a seasoned Saints fan's standards that's a little over the top. I'm going to go left field and suggest Vallery moves up to play right flank. He can't defend but when unshackled of those responsibilities he might have confidence to use his abundant skill and pace to take on players and provide support (he's not very good at crossing either, but for one game he might be able to overcome that).
Armstrong on 00:00 - Sep 11 with 1511 views | Sadoldgit | Gutted. He is such a threat going forward. But we are going to have to cope with key players missing so we might as well start now!
Armstrong on 05:05 - Sep 11 with 1468 views | Soton | You just don’t have a positive bone in your whole body. Armstrong was/is bound to miss some games over the course of a season. Get a grip on reality
Armstrong on 09:08 - Sep 11 with 1391 views | Waylander | Oh dear! We'll have to play with 10 men!
Armstrong on 09:16 - Sep 11 with 1381 views | saint22 | Yes I know all players are bound to get injured but to already be looking short and having to fill gaps due to one injury before the season isnt great
Armstrong on 09:22 - Sep 11 with 1373 views | ThermosNBlanket | How are we? Moussa was injured and suspended end last season we now have him back Along with Boufal,Smallbone etc so Redmond and Moussa wide players swapping.
| Lifes a marathon not a sprint |
| |
Armstrong on 11:12 - Sep 11 with 1323 views | saint22 | Stu offers more defensively than Moussa who is still not the finished article Couple that with the new CB we signed not being fit and we are essentially as you were from last year..............
Armstrong on 11:15 - Sep 11 with 1323 views | 1teeminants | This is exactly the reason I mentioned earlier why saints should not sell Boufal yet as we are too short on cover . Get rid of Hoedt and Carillo not Boufal who can turn a game on its head out of nowhere .
| |
Armstrong on 18:37 - Sep 11 with 1221 views | TimSaint | As I said much earlier in this thread, we actually have (with or without a positional swap or 2) the following, who can all slot in / do a job at Right Midfield: Djenepo Boufal JWP Long Smallbone Valery Sims McQueen .....and possibly Tella I think Boufal is very capable, has skill in abundance and can change games - but is as equally frustrating and has not done enough when given chances - be it here or on loan. He is into the last year of his contract and the club probably feels that if they are to get anything for him, they have to sell this window. Yes there are others that I personally would get rid of before Boufal, but think Saints would cash in if they got a decent offer.

Armstrong on 20:04 - Sep 11 with 1173 views | Ron11 | I seem to remember you asking what was the point of Armstrong not so long ago...
Armstrong on 20:07 - Sep 11 with 1166 views | Bicester_North | No shock there, there are very few Saints players or managers that skate22 hasn’t written off in his/her feeble way. [Post edited 11 Sep 2020 20:08]
