First Cup Final I can really remember was '78. Ipswich 22 Arsenal 17 in the backyard the following day, Brian Talbot scored all of them for both teams. In reality, I believe it was a drab game. At the 82 final it was all a bit weird missing the build up, also it pissed down with rain and the atmosphere between the two sets of fans was pretty hostile, I remember an uncooked whole chicken and load of full beer cans along with this chunky flagpoles being thrown down onto the spurs fans below us. | |

I think that because they now want to avoid the "double punishment" of a red card plus a penalty, you don't see those given as straight reds very often. But to me, that's absolutely a red. No attempt to play the ball at all, and it was intentionally stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity. | | | |
