It’ll be a sad day... 22:21 - Jun 23 with 11674 views | ItchySphincter | .... when Wayne Routledge leaves the Liberty. One of the all time Greats. Extended to the end of the season, Naughts and Van der Hoof too! 👠

It’ll be a sad day... on 10:09 - Jun 24 with 1656 views | GreatBritton | I often used to think 'What's the point of Wayne?' when watching him live. The infuriating outside of the foot cross into the box for a defender to gobble up, the mazy run that led nowhere, the unsuccessful tracing back. BUT, watching replays of games since lockdown I've appreciated his cleverness and awareness of the whole pitch and the rest of his own team. Turns out I was wrong, he was good. Lots of great assists. Not many goals though.
It’ll be a sad day... on 10:24 - Jun 24 with 1636 views | jack247 | If he brought what he’s brought to the team over the last 10 years and he could finish, I doubt we’d have ever been able to sign him.
It’ll be a sad day... on 10:36 - Jun 24 with 1619 views | Darran | All time great mun.

It’ll be a sad day... on 10:37 - Jun 24 with 1615 views | JackSomething | If you follow that line of thinking, then you must think Leon was pretty sh*t too.
| You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help. |

It’ll be a sad day... on 10:39 - Jun 24 with 1612 views | NotLoyal | Settled, happy, multi millionaire. Thanks to Swansea folk, as I said it buys loyalty. Sorry but my belief in any footballer as a person has entered a new low in the past 3 months.

It’ll be a sad day... on 10:41 - Jun 24 with 1609 views | Darran | He wouldn’t get in our top 50.

It’ll be a sad day... on 10:46 - Jun 24 with 1604 views | NotLoyal | People would put Bodde in a top 50 too.

It’ll be a sad day... on 10:47 - Jun 24 with 1601 views | chad | Routs and Dyer love them both
It’ll be a sad day... on 10:56 - Jun 24 with 1588 views | Oneill_77 | Routs is up there with our best. Loved by our best managers; loathed by our worst (and our worst uninformed fans). Says it all.
It’ll be a sad day... on 11:02 - Jun 24 with 1579 views | krunchykarrot | I think he is a good intelligent footballer who has done us proud.
It’ll be a sad day... on 12:35 - Jun 24 with 1541 views | NotLoyal | Loathed ? Not sure about that.

It’ll be a sad day... on 13:26 - Jun 24 with 1513 views | whiterock | Had about 10 clubs (loan and signed) before us, found his home here

It’ll be a sad day... on 13:36 - Jun 24 with 1499 views | icecoldjack | Fantastic footballer, great value for money signing and plied his trade mostly at the top table. Pound for pound one of the best signings made by the Swans.
It’ll be a sad day... on 13:46 - Jun 24 with 1492 views | ItchySphincter | Well said Icey. Nice to see you back.

It’ll be a sad day... on 16:05 - Jun 24 with 1454 views | Treforys_Jack | Really good footballer considering he may as well have only had 1 leg. Intelligent, and good for the dressing room by all accounts. As not loyal pointed out, he has been very well rewarded by the club, but has done considerably more than some of the other jokers we've had over the last 5yrs. Had a few chats with bim over the yrs and seems a nice guy to boot.
It’ll be a sad day... on 16:12 - Jun 24 with 1445 views | Jackfath | Leon was a defensive midfielder, not an attacking forward. Can't compare the two.

It’ll be a sad day... on 16:34 - Jun 24 with 1425 views | DwightYorkeSuperstar | He recouped the relatively small transfer fee we paid him. He consistently provided 5/10 performances with the occasional good game. I think it's safe to say he would have moved on had he ever been offered more money elsewhere. Averaging 2.8 league goals per season whilst playing in attacking midfield wont attract too much attention from clubs up the food chain. Scott Sinclair scored more league goals for us in one season than Wayne Routledge has managed for us since 2013. An all time great he certainly is not.

It’ll be a sad day... on 17:58 - Jun 24 with 1377 views | Brynmill_Jack | You don’t remember the fella from the Wirral then? I’m sure he wished death on him once

It’ll be a sad day... on 19:03 - Jun 24 with 1356 views | NotLoyal | Did he ... Bloody hell, that’s a bit much, I think that’s beyond loathing 🤪

It’ll be a sad day... on 19:09 - Jun 24 with 1351 views | Brynmill_Jack | Honestly, Perch’s feelings toward Routledge were illogical and extreme. And he’d pick on him when there were far worse around him who’d get off scot free.
