I’ve never served in the military, but can imagine if you have and been in combat for example, you would be sickened to see monuments like the cenotaph being vandalised.
I fully understood the BLM protests and could fathom out all the rubbish spouted back at them like “All Lives Matter”, but I also have no problem with folks like him feeling obliged to protect certain things he stands for. Unfortunately though, as with the protests the week before there was a huge number of people who were hell bent on causing destruction.
To summarise, it doesn’t sit well with me people like that fella, and people similar to him being called out as racists everywhere on social media. [Post edited 15 Jun 2020 20:33]

Based on that clip, I’d say probably not consciously. More likely to be a ‘British jobs for British people’ type than the kind of guy who would make monkey noises at football or graffiti mosques. They matched the description of the suspects. I imagine it had something to do with them wearing tracksuits hoodies and hats on riding bikes. Unfortunate incident which the police apologised for. Why that has made headline news I don’t know. How the hell are police supposed to do their job these days I don’t know.
Take a look at this article on the same webpage for that link and see the difference in how they want to report things. No mention of the victims skin colour and you have to go right to the bottom of the article to find “The men, who were described as being black, threatened a woman with a knife before carrying out a messy search of the bedrooms”
