Couldn't agree more, the joy of having a dog in my case tempered with the knowledge that one day the decision to end the suffering of my pal will rear it's head....Not to be taken lightly..
Never had a dog; my dog-ownership has been lived vicariously through the likes of Nigel, the one next door and Sweep. I always think when someone's dog dies that they should just go and get another but that rarely seems to be the case.
