Returning to work is going to be a complicated affair. All employers will need to carry out risk assessments that aim to maintain social distancing and protect not just employees but anyone on their premises. Even holding meetings, rooms will need to be assessed for numbers it can hold and all sorts of other factors. The Trade unions will be all over this and quite rightly so. And I wouldn't be surprised to see those TV adverts popping up in the future asking 'were you working in an unsafe environment, contracted COVID19 then call us now'.
Outside of work we just wanted to know if we can have grandchildren to stay to give a parent struggling a break. Still none the wiser on that one. | |

Manufacturing and construction and food shops/ take aways can work if they are able to keep distance- this is a problem as certain jobs require people to be closer than 2M but what can you do?
Don’t get involved in any social gatherings inside or where you can’t keep your distance

On the contrary, I am good friends with a couple of ICU nurses ( one of which has caught Covid ) and they have commented on how quiet the hospitals are and how we should be looking to opening up elective surgery etc again soon as they don't need the support of every other department any more.
On the subject of when it is right and wrong, with respect, I think only Virologists and Epidemiologists can really answer with any knowledge when it comes to the likely spread of the virus. | |

Drive instead of get the train. People who do that to work in office can work remotely from home. People that don’t work in offices and it’s not practical to get there by bike, walking or driving shouldn’t go. If that can’t be done don’t do it until the infection rate comes down.
We all know people will still use public transport to get to work, but it’s that or family’s lives go down the drain in a lot of cases. What would you do? | |

I am allowed to park my lorry anywhere in London. Including bus stops and red routes. If traffic wardens put a ticket on the company just pay them. I’ve had it before when a jumped up private traffic warden has told me to move and I’ve just said “ok mate, i’ll be done in an hour” blanked him and carried on. | |
