Satellites visible in the night sky 14:01 - Apr 20 with 4328 viewsJackfath

Any star gazers out there? Take a look up at around 10pm tonight to the West. Elon Musks Space X satellites will be flying over. I watched last night, quite a spectacle; loads of things flying over and around last night.

But you can see why astronomers are annoyed. This is a test, but if every telecom company / nation puts these things into orbit on a commercial basis then we can say goodbye to dark skies.

Went round the back last night, to get a glimpse of these, gave up in the end couldn't see a thing, will give it another go tonight. There were some streams on-line, don't know where from, but pretty spectacular all the same.

It takes about 10 minutes in the cold and wind before our eyesight adapts to the low level conditions. And then Elon Musk buggers things up with his satellites. I think I'll watch it on youtube instead.
