One of our own, very impressed with his responses to questions posed today and his approach to this crisis.

Sir Keir Starmer, is reported to own a £1.75 million house in Camden along with a £600,000 home in Oxted, Surrey, which he claims was purchased for his sister and does not receive any rent for.

Owns 2 houses as well. Poor lad.

Another Bill Cash site?
Let's look at the evidence. Dad was a tool maker, and mum a nurse. Unlikely to inherited then. Worked as human rights lawyer, well they earn fook all. Worked for some government agency in NI, no money there. Then worked as Director of public prosecutions. My guess is £150k pa max.
Maybe he won the lottery .

Maybe because I'm interested in whether Labour voters will ever learn /understand why their party consistently fails, despite the arguments put forward. Maybe people don't like their hypocritical policies and rich leaders?

He is a crook , he makes Tony Blair look amateur I am afraid when it comes to slickness, he aided and profited from the 2008 crash with his best mate and business partner.

He is charming like many con men and many will fall for it.

Not getting mugged off by any of them again

Hypocritical like Rees Mogg claiming GB would be better off outside the EU while telling his investors to get their money out quick in case it goes tits up? Or hypocritical like Farage getting German passports for his kids?

I have no idea where he got his money from but he certainly has it as 2 properties worth around £2.5 million proves.

I have no problem with him being extremely wealthy but you seem to think that he should be poor. I wish I could buy a £600K house for my sister to live in and as he admits does not charge her rent.

Why do you think Labour had their worst result for one hundred years? The people loved Boris so much? The people wanted Brexit? Or maybe they didn't like millionaire Corbyn?

You seem to be very trusting of the sites who put this info on line. I would suggest to you anyone putting this information on line has an agenda, which would immediately make me doubt their house valuations.
I have no problem with him being wealthy either, even if he was a millionaire which he isn't.
I have a problem with the very wealthy like Boris, Rishi, Rees Mogg, etc etc pursuing policies that make themselves wealthier and the rest of the country poorer.
The entire cabinet voted against pay rises for nurses btw.

I'm interested in why you think Labour had its worst result in 100 years? You say how great their policies are, so why were they obliterated at the last election then? Poor Labour constituencies voted for Boris, voting Tory for the first time ever in some places, why do you think that was?

Do you have figures for this underfunding Koons? I would expect you to show evidence of a decline in NHS spending since 2010 in real terms to back your assertion. If you choose a per capita figure rather than overall spending can you show how this was affected during the same period by the kind of unchecked immigration favoured by Corbyn (and which you voted for)?

Here's a graph from Kings college Oxford, you'll note there has been no real investment under this government.
In fact all major investment has occurred under labour governments.

The British Honours System is a means of rewarding personal bravery, achievement or service to the United Kingdom.
The Queen presents them. Whats wrong with that?

Because true socialists and people of that political persuasion despise the monarchy and everything it stands for.
They would rather live in a republic, so for some it seems quite hypocritical for a so called socialist to accept this award.

I've spent many years exposing poor statistical analysis Koons as part of my job and that is a clear example. Leaving aside the fact that there is no such place as Kings College Oxford (I think you meant London) a percentage graph of annual change on its own is misleading - if the NHS was underfunded, say in subject year -1 then an annual increase in the subject year is going to look disproportionately high compared to a small increase in a run of previously high figures. I'm not knocking Labour's impressive spending in the early years of the Blair government but in the graph you put up, every year would need to throw ever more in real terms at the NHS than the year before otherwise it gives the false impression of falling back, or "underfunding". For you to say that this graph illustrates "no real investment" shows that you are seeing what the creator intended you to see. WHat I see is that Blair, Brown, the Coalition and then the various Tories have all increased NHS funding beyond inflation, and as with compound interest the annual percentages do not reflect the actual sums involved.

Look, if Labour want to win back voters then they need some sensible policies. Most people probably welcome more investment in the public services but the rest no.
The majority don't want:
-The taxpayer to pay for people to have 6 kids. Tory policy of tax credit for 2 kids is right. If you want more, pay for them yourself.
- To completely pay for University education. Why should we all pay for a student studying fashion design?
- To have another referendum on Brexit, which left 2 options, remain and remain.
- Therefore unlimited immigration continues. The majority want unlimited immigration to be controlled. Labour ignored those wishes, mostly from working class northern areas.
- To have all female shortlists and to hear from Labour (Corbyn) what a racist country we are. Most people are fed up of hearing what we can and can't say, and how horridly racist, homophobic and sexist the Brits are.

That is just scratching the surface. Labour certainly could have an impact on the electorate with certain aspects of society but they need to change their ways. If they insist we have to pay for people having 10 kids, pay for the worlds people due to unlimited immigration, pay for literally everything, then they won't get in.

That's a good summary of why so many Labour voters turned their backs on the party. I forgot to add that Koons is also wrong to assume NHS funding is simply decided in the year it is paid. Of course it isn't. I am more familiar with Infrastructure sectors than Health but to give one example the funding for Network Rail is negotiated on a series of successive 5 year blocks and I am sure the NHS will be similar. Hospitals are not built overnight nor even closed overnight and new drugs not purchased on NICE's spur of the moment agreement. Thus you see in Koons' graph that the so called "second best" overall performance appears to be Margaret Thatcher's first year in office in 1979-80 and that 8 of the top 20 are actually years with a Tory Government in place which counters his assertion that "all the biggest performances are under Labour" but that means nothing because to a large extent budgets are already set for the year a party gains power and it is impossible to make much substantive change for the next two years anyway.

Why is it then ?

I'm sure the more left leaning posters on here would fully agree with what I said.
