The Scott voltage is a superb bike, have had one for ten years.
the jump version is better than the mountain bike version off road.
Hand made alloy frame, it's a very sturdy lightweight bike. | |

Yeh, I had that bike. I can’t remember about the padding, but I remember mine had stunt nuts. Even now 30 odd years on it still looks just as cool as it did back then. | |

i had quite a decent bike when i was about 8, then when i grew out of it had the shi*test bike you've ever seen. My dad bought it for about £5 from a bloke in the pub, he brought it home and it was a horrible beige colour so i bought some blue spray paint and did a terrible spray job on it. Back in the 1990s, I bought a top of the range racing bike and took it to all sorts of mountainous national parks, including the Lake District, and discovered that pushing an expensive bike up a mountainside was not the best idea I ever had. I probably needed about 12 gears more than the 12 it already had.
Walking, running and rowing have since transpired to be more sensible ways of keeping fit.
Cyclists seem to die young (knocked down quickly by lorries or slowly driven to death by mountain roads). [Post edited 8 Apr 2020 6:25]

I’ve done a downhill bike ride tour in Spain. It’s brilliant, they put the bikes on a trailer and drive you to the top of a mountain then you just freewheel down. Get to the bottom and they put them back on the trailer and take you to another high point. Stop for lunch and a pint, then do a few more downhill runs. Great fun, [Post edited 7 Apr 2020 22:12]
