Calamity Lumley 18:47 - Dec 29 with 12579 views | Ralf85 | 10 outfielders playing their socks off again today. 1-0 up we are in control of the game. Lumley's limited brain function switched off yet again. Catches ball and brain decides to drop it. Second half ball comes across the goal, Lumley could have done something, anything - maybe even move, but no. He went into statue mode again. I keep scratching my head to try and remember a worse goalkeeper than this. Maybe Tony Roberts, but that's it. If we get decent money for Eze in January, we must use it to buy a half decent keeper. Team morale must be under serious pressure knowing that he will let at least two goals in every game. How do you motivate a team that knows that the guy in goal is useless.
Calamity Lumley on 18:58 - Dec 30 with 2282 views | BazzaInTheLoft | It’s ironic all right. Apologies I thought you was being snide. That Smithies money brought us a few players and renewed a few contracts, including Eze’s.
Calamity Lumley on 21:24 - Dec 30 with 2185 views | CliveWilsonSaid | You know what gets me most is that I really like the guy. It's like one of us was dragged off the terracing one game in a crisis and given the gloves and told to get on with it. 3 years later he's still there, it's remarkable really. 99.5% of the time he's fine but the other 0.5% of the time he's been awful. Sunday's howler was just unacceptable. [Post edited 30 Dec 2019 21:26]

Calamity Lumley on 22:07 - Dec 30 with 2136 views | Ned_Kennedys | You're right, he seems to be a good guy and always acknowledges the fans and obviously cares. He's just got to cut out the horrendous errors which is easier said than done. No keeper is perfect (De Gea and Leno have made terrible errors recently) but not many consistently give goals away like Joe has been doing: I can't remember any QPR keeper doing it in the decades I've been going.
Calamity Lumley on 08:53 - Dec 31 with 2031 views | Gloucs_R | Agreed, I can not remember a keeper who has been at fault for do many goals in a season either. I would honestly send him out on loan and give Kelly the number 1 shirt now.

Calamity Lumley on 09:37 - Dec 31 with 1987 views | WatfordR | Was thinking about that myself. I seem to remember David Seaman costing us with more than one or two howlers, particularly in cup matches.
Calamity Lumley on 09:45 - Dec 31 with 1980 views | francisbowles | FWIW I think Kelly has to start on the 1st and then Lumley gets a chance in the cup game.
Calamity Lumley on 10:07 - Dec 31 with 1953 views | TheChef | Much as it's lovely that he seems like a nice guy, I'd rather have an 8rsehole who kept clean sheets.

Calamity Lumley on 10:10 - Dec 31 with 1951 views | ted_hendrix | There's no sympathy from me the bloke must be dropped. As for his confidence being affected that is the job of his employer to deal with regardless of whether he's a 'good bloke' or not. It's no good sitting in the ground expecting or waiting for another howler to happen. People might not like it but yes this is a results business and his performances are way below what they should be and are costing us dear.

Calamity Lumley on 12:39 - Dec 31 with 1875 views | R_from_afar | It's all about opinions but in the previous two games, Lumley did OK. Missed sitters have just as much impact on the result as a goalkeeping gaffe which gifts the opposition a goal, but 'keepers always cop far more flak. Perhaps we should have a "missed sitter watch"... Anyway, here's hoping whoever is between the sticks for us in the next game stays focused and alert and gives us a rare clean sheet.
| "Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1." |

Calamity Lumley on 19:53 - Jan 1 with 1710 views | qprmike | Thank God he wasn't dropped. Well played Joe
Calamity Lumley on 20:13 - Jan 1 with 1610 views | paulparker | Are you his dad ? Flapped at any early cross and should have saved the Cardiff goal , the team carried him today
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Calamity Lumley on 20:28 - Jan 1 with 1562 views | BazzaInTheLoft | I thought he was fouled when he went for that cross and thought he did well even to get his hand to the goal. He was the better goalie on the pitch. Like i said earlier, if he hadn't made so many mistakes I don't think we'd be criticising him today. If you are expecting mistakes you are going to notice some. One thing is for sure, getting on people's back for defending him is a bit mean spirited.
Calamity Lumley on 20:54 - Jan 1 with 1484 views | paulparker | I’m all for encouragement but statements like “ thank god he played” sounds as if he was the new peter schemichael out there , he had nothing to do all day and again switches off for the goal

Calamity Lumley on 21:04 - Jan 1 with 1441 views | paulparker | His form for the last 12 months has been bad he has cost us points this season which could of put us in the top six , fair play his quick thinking set up the goal but again should of done better with the goal scored by them,

Calamity Lumley on 21:15 - Jan 1 with 1382 views | paulparker | Team played very well against a very poor Cardiff side not taking that away but lumley is still the weak link of our side which is a bit concerning when he is the keeper

Calamity Lumley on 21:20 - Jan 1 with 1360 views | BazzaInTheLoft | That Cardiff side has only lost once since NH took over.
Calamity Lumley on 21:20 - Jan 1 with 1355 views | Watford_Ranger | It doesn’t in any way tarnish a great team performance for me and that kick out for the third goal was sublime. But, let’s not pretend it wasn’t a bad error for the goal. If the game was 0-0 in the 91st minute he’d have been slaughtered for it.

Calamity Lumley on 23:00 - Jan 1 with 1051 views | Match82 | If they've looked good in every other game they have played with this manager, and looked bad today, it suggests that we were the ones making them look bad.
