I am travelling down 1885 for Saturdays game. I really hope we can follow this up. Our home form is our achilles heel.
As for Ralph, I think he was going through a bad time himself at the beginning of the season and none of us are pefect and have points in our lives when it can be a struggle. Even, after the 9-0, I saw nothing to be gained from changing the manager yet again, for the umpteenth time. I Like the way Ralph wears his heart on his sleeve. I have questioned him a few times, but with a decent team, he could create something special - it is just whether he gets the backing. He got it spot on today and the team's attitude was spot on today and well done to all of them. I don't suddenly think everything is ok (you are still not sure what Southampton will turn up - West Ham at home was testimony to that) but at least, you see the foundations of something and they have not stopped fighting to turn it around.

It was all Ralph's work that got us into that state of mind to lose 9-0. He persisted game after game with Vest and 3 at the back until we were nailed on for relegation. Long is is latest favourite unfortunately, perhaps we might be lucky and his injury persists a bit longer until we're safe. | |
