He was indeed, an inspirational player-manager. Well remember how good we were in that season he came and we still had to apply for re-election, promotion form he produced at season's end. Wish we had his determination and drive now. Good man gone.

After applying for re-election , turned the club around considerably with promotion the following season. What a mark he left on the club, signing great servants Bobby Roberts, Mike Walker, Mike Packer and Ray Harford.
My first promotion season - great memories - thanks Bald Eagle .
