Definitely - going backwards at a rate of knots in a very poor league and, apart from Woodman, his summer signings are awful or not even fit. Surridge''s miss in the opening minutes against Fulham explains why Bournemouth let him go out on loan. Cooper has become worse than Potter in tinkering with the squad - it was obvious last night we needed Borja on earlier plus Celina, instead we got gutless McKay.
As always December will be a revealing month. Our home form is of concern and has to improve. Otherwise January may see some changes. We are bound to lose players.
Cooper is a decent coach and has good people around him with similar props, but a manager? Not so sure yet but deserves time. Anything less than top half wouldn’t be a good result come the end of season.
Replaced by??????????? No one coming in is going to put big money not the Swans. Some might 'lend' a fortune. But if they left tomorrow some fans would rejoice that the club would be run by the trust. The trust that, despite early purchase of shares, has put in exactly how many££££?
I'm giving him the entire season, no matter how bad it gets. You've probably seen my rants about the fact our last 5 managers haven't lasted 12 months. We need stability, even if Cooper ends up being inept.
Next season if there is no improvement, I will change my opinion. But imo there is no point replacing him so soon.
The problem with delaying the inevitable is that the team's morale, skillsets, confidence and playing style suffer making it much harder for the next manager to turn it all around. It makes us look even less inviting for prospective managers. It may also prompt other young players to leave.
Not that id be too optimistic about Britts or Rangel taking over anything would be better than Cooper at the moment. Have been on a gradual decline since the start of the season, up to the point we are now. Constantly turnjng out lacklustre performances. Decided not to bother with Charlton as I dont want to waste my time watching another dreadful game (like the majority of our home games have been).
