Wrexham (A) - Match Thread 11:21 - Nov 8 with 29267 viewsAtThePeake

Following on from what Ancoats_Blue posted in the 'now that the dust has settled thread', I think it would be a good idea to have a match thread for each game with pre-match, live and post-match updates. Also gives us one place to stick all of our pre-and post match content in case you miss any of it on the homepage plus a few handy links from elsewhere.

Wheyyy. Good idea this ;).

Looking forward to this one, despite the Sunday lunch time KO. Got a car full of us going over.

"on paper" it should be a win for us but we know that the cup throws up upsets. However I'm confident we'll come out on top. I reckon Bobby Grant will get 1 for them though. So 1-3 my prediction.

Wrexham fans views are pessimistic http://www.redpassion.co.uk/forums/wrexham/114888-rochdale-forecast-predictions.

Must admit, I don't do much in the way of non-league coverage and I didn't realise until I did the preview and had a look at the squad that Bobby Grant was there.

Tbh, looks like a few Wrexham fans reckon it could be off with the forecast for tomorrow. A quick google makes for grim reading... https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&ei=xZHFXaT0Htyp1fAPmcCn4Ak&q=

I am pretty sure we sold Wrexham Big Joe Cooke for around 10k many moons back, the story I heard at the time was we were totally skint (again) and Joe did not want to go, but his career was effectively over due to injuries and he went to help keep us going.

I don’t think he made many appearances for Wrexham and retired about a season later, true Dale legend!

This injury crisis update aint good listening....Ollie out and possibly RND for the 2nd match in a row...both big players for us. Bob might be fit but again Ryan Mclaughlin is hit and miss.

No mention of Big Jim.

So players who are struggling with any sort of form are back in the starting line up.

It was mentioned a few weeks ago that McNulty is out long term so there's not going to be a mention

RND and Sanchez back. McShane injured presumably.

Strange that Camps is listed as captain unless it’s a mistake.

I am assuming we are showing respect to McShane. If we don't commit to a contract beyond January then he would be cup tied for another club. I would of course prefer to keep him

Could/should be 2 down. Poor finish from their striker and another effort beats Sanchez and comes back off the crossbar.

Is the pitch quite heavy-going for our usual passing style?

Btw., the average age of the whole squad today (not counting months) is 23 and that's with 4 x 30y.olds. so hope one of the youngsters pulls one out of the hat.
