JJ Williams 17:47 - Sep 12 with 12746 views | DdraigGoch | Fantastic rugby player of the 70’s. Close friend. Has brain tumour. Being flown from Portugal to Heath for op. at this moment.
JJ Williams on 17:55 - Sep 12 with 10858 views | Lord_Bony | Tragic and a lovely bloke. 1975 he was my form teacher in school. He d be on the telly on the Saturday and then calling out the register on the monday. Real nice guy and I wish him a full recovery. As a fellow sufferer this disease doesn't care who you are,it can strike anytime.it's on the increase. Get yourselves checked people.

JJ Williams on 18:23 - Sep 12 with 10754 views | theloneranger | So sad to hear this news. He started up a very successful Industrial Painting and Cleaning business in the 1980's. My mate who was JJ's brother in law packed in his job to go into business with him. I haven't seen either of them for many years, but JJ always came across as a great but straight talking man, something that didn't go down well in the corridors of the WRU! A great all round sportsman, "The Welsh Whippet" a brilliant rugby winger with a superb turn of pace who represented Wales and the British Lions. He also represented Wales as a sprinter in the Commonwealth games, and was a Welsh sprint champion. Get well soon John.
| Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎 |

JJ Williams on 00:09 - Sep 13 with 10128 views | jack_lord | Elgan Rees lived on Pontardawe Road and Derek Bevan Lived on Capel Road. Didn't think JJ was anything to do with Clydach. Gareth Edwards was big mates with my dad and was always in Clydach :)

JJ Williams on 07:12 - Sep 13 with 9986 views | Jinxy | Really sad to read this. He taught me in the 70's (as a part time PE teacher) and was so encouraging with a young pupil who hated the mandatory rugby sessions. Quite the opposite of his brother I have to say, who was full time. I last saw JJ 10 odd years ago in the Ashoka Bridgend - he was saying he was running a painting business I think. Get well soon JJ, and thanks again.
JJ Williams on 07:26 - Sep 13 with 9951 views | SWANSEYE | Sad . . one of the most passionate players to grace Welsh Rugby and a true Legend who played amongst the greats in the Welsh Team at that time . . We wish him well

JJ Williams on 11:41 - Sep 13 with 9670 views | swanjackal | Peter (Botch), his brother, was my PE teacher through comp. He hated me solely based that he disliked my father where they often "disagreed" on the rugby field. It was odd as I recently scanned old photos of my mother and in one of her old school photos of her final year of grammar school, JJ was directly behind her. [Post edited 13 Sep 2019 11:43]

JJ Williams on 16:50 - Sep 13 with 9498 views | Cleddau | Rhys won European gold at the following championships. His brother and sister also represented Wales in athletics. The girl (Kathryn I think) also won a couple of Welsh titles while with Swansea Harriers but Rhys and his brother both wore the Cardiff vest. Often seen JJ at the Welsh Champs supporting his kids.
JJ Williams on 18:00 - Sep 13 with 9406 views | dickythorpe | Get well soon of course, but by feck he's been a chopsy little herb for nearly 30 years. Neil Jenkins, Gatland and Biggar in that time have quite rightly pulled him up on it. [Post edited 13 Sep 2019 18:00]

JJ Williams on 17:48 - Sep 30 with 8891 views | DdraigGoch | Update: I had an update on JJ yesterday: John is having surgery next Thursday and feels a lot more positive after speaking to a Neuro Surgeon last Wednesday. He is expected to make a good recovery. No doubt he will feel a lot better after this morning’s result in Japan!!
