Some of my best chips have been from Chinese Takeaways. Chinese chippy near the Orient ground in the 1970s. More ecent Chinese takeaway way down Goldhawk Road. I’ve pondered. The chips absorb the five spice and/ or the monosodium glutamate. Whatever. Chips (and Fish) from Chinese Takeaways are the fkin best. And believe me I’ve eaten a lot of chips.
