Here is another like minded guy who like Eric Jones will climb without any ropes, 3:12s shows these type guys must be 0.001% of the population. It takes some bottle to climb like that... A sweaty handed slip, a bout of cramp, a muscle pull, an unexpected dizzy spell, a sudden turn in weather conditions, a dive bombing bird protecting its young, or loose-falling rock gripping area means disaster.
And to think there is nothing that can be done to prepare for, train for, or to prevent acts of nature is what really makes the bravery shown so profound.

Go up to his cafe and have a cup of tea, if it’s not too busy he will chat all day about climbing. Very difficult early life but has made so much of his opportunities.
