Chipmunk crisps 17:47 - Jul 20 with 8221 viewsPacemaker

Does anyone else remember Oxo flavour Chipmunk crisps? I don’t know if they were available around the UK or just in the Rhondda.

A wonderful taste sensation in an otherwise bland world of a child.

That was them, I used to love them, I associate them with swimming pools as we used to buy them from the corner shop next to the park.

I would definitely buy them if they were re-released. Ah happy days.....unlike this board which is utterly depressing at times with bitching and moaning. Hopefully a couple of years in the championship will bring about a more positive mindset in Swansea followers.

I'm not kidding this has got to be the most immature ,infantile bloke I've ever come across and I'm being serious.

There's not one poster on this site I don't get along with except this idiot who has got it in for me for some reason.

Get a new mod in I really don't care, with a bit of luck he will ban this retard off the site, it will be a much better place for it.

It's no wonder we've lost a lot of good posters with this horrible aggressiveness all time.

We used to get a box for Christmas. Almost a tradition. One year we got a mixed box and sampled the rare flavours of cheddar and onion and malt vinegar and salt too. Marvellous, but too frequently soggy . My family are from Rhondda and lived there from 8- so maybe a Rhondda thing

Corona the king of pop, I can remember the Alpine pop lorry coming around because it was so cheap, I am sure it was six bottles for a pound or something like that.

Horrible Matt green coloured lorries not like the bright yellow Corona lorries. Alpine also tasted a little cheap and nasty compared to Corona.

I am sure they must have been really cheap compared to a Smith’s or Golden Wonder crisps, I think soggy crisps was part of growing up in the 70’s.

“One Pineapple Crush, one Dandelion and Burdock and an American Cream Soda, please.”

“Right-o, boy. 70p that will be, any empties?”

That was like yesterday, just a blink of the eye.

Friend to the dentist!!! All that sugar.

Down here it's Tovali pop and the stories you hear about how much sugar was in the squash!!!
Now they have massive contracts for sugar free "cordials"

You used to get free Tovali squash in some departments in the steelworks because of the heat.

Corona- from Thomas & Evans Welsh Hills Works in Porth, Rhondda. The building is still there and used ( The Factory/pop factory). However my experience was the yellow Corona was a regular in Cimla (limeade please) and Alpine was more common when I moved to Rhondda , though we were skint so corporation pop was all we had.
