Wow !
Is this the greatest first interview we've ever seen at Swansea? How impressive is this?
Nothing but great vibes about this appointment

Not sure what I expected, but very impressed with his delivery. Can’t help thinking that his Familiar looks a bit like Mark Hughes.

He spoke really well of what I heard. He obviously knows his stuff...

He certainly speaks well. Hopefully he can use his Liverpool and Pep contacts to get us some good loan players. Good luck to him.

Very good interview, good to hear he'd been wanting to take the next step in management for a while, but has waited until he felt he was ready.

Also that there has already been players contacting him with interest of coming here, and that his whole family including his dad will be supporting Swansea on Derby days.

it's still up here:

Definitely sounds like we will be having a look at some loans.

He spoke well, very excited to see what he can do.

It’s a strange sort of father that puts support of a football club ahead of support for his own son.

Of course he’ll support his son.

The vast majority of people think that football, however important to them, comes a hell of a long way below family in a list of what matters in life.

I'd be diplomatic and feign illness or have a business trip on match days.

Then I'd write the treacherous bastard out of my will.

Of course he will want him to succeed but come the Derby......he might just be happy with a Cardiff win.

Think that is how I would be.

I would never put my football club before my son.

Never ever.

That’s exactly how I’d be. Not that it matters who his dad supports anyway.

Come the derbies Keith Cooper will want only one club in front.
So everyone stop being so naive.

Of course you wouldn't, and for all his father's posturing in the past, I'd be amazed if he didn't back his son.

Blood is thicker and all that

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

When Keith Cooper refereed us in our 2-1 win against Cardiff (in the FA Cup all those years ago), I can remember a fair refereeing performance. Even though he told Jimmy Gillian not to milk it during his celebration of sliding on his knees, when he scored that cracker.

probably a case where steve's father is in a win win, he'd be happy if Crdiff won and would still be happy to see Swansea win and see his son doing well.

More annoyed by the "we", "the FA" stuff referring to England than who his family supports tbh.

Silly thing to complain about.

The FA is England. It’s not the ‘English FA’, it’s just the FA.

And given he was the manager, for him to say ‘we’ seems perfectly reasonable.

Dear God.

I got the feeling with SC that he does have a real purpose here. Potter seemed more of an outsider to me, a very good manager but with Copper it seems more like he understands us and has admired us for many years, and will try his best to get us back in the Premiership with him.

Good interview. Hoping for the best from him and it was so nice to hear him talking about maintain ning and progressing our type of football, this will be the most critical thing in terms of how the fans take to him, I’m also hoping he has enough about him to assess and fix our defensive problems, tall order with limited or no budget but hopeful in this area.

My only concern and has been from the off, is how the senior players respond and take to him, this IMO is where the likes of Wayne Routledge will need input, if cooper councils the right senior players and gets his message across then it could work .

It’s a huge gamble but I think his interview gave a decent insight to how is going to approach the job.

Good luck Steve !!

I hope Cooper can manage to keep hold of McBurnie, I think it is the best option for us, he would be worth more in the future.

When he was asked if we could keep hold of McBurnie, Cooper said: "I hope so because I saw how well he played last year, he scored a lot of goals.

"Like any player, if the club gets an offer they can't refuse, you have to discuss that, but I will certainly be planning with him pre-season."

Not heard his interview or anything else he may have to say.

I'll judge him by what he gets the lads to do on the pitch next season.
