Not sure about his fitness but he’s one of my favourite Dale midfielders of all time. I’d take this.

How long is his contract at bURY, think he has another year on probably big wages, although that will probably count for nothing in reality.

Will know BBM very well, coming to the twilight of his career, so would probably be happy to take a sensible contract, and actually get paid it,local, what we need and been here before.

All makes perfect sense if he has got over his injuries!!!

If true pay as you play would be the best option. He doesn't fill me with confidence injury wise. If fit he can be a teams driving force.

If he's fit it could be a great fit. It's a yes from me.

Not sure we would get the same Dawson back to be honest.

Hardly played in the last 2 seasons and he would have to take a pay cut nigh on 80%.

Surely we can look to younger legs in the Hamilton mould.

Doubt it very much, he’s not been seen in the Royds recently, & I know Dave Buchanan is in Spain at the moment, up there with Craig Dawson going Burnley lol...

Bit of a risk if we are working with a much smaller squad.......he'd be out more than in!

Big fan back in the day but that was back in the day like.

Not sure we need another midfielder, especially one with a recent history of big wages and persistent injuries. This would simply push Adshead and Morley further down the pecking order like Perkins did . We really need a left back and a centre half oh, and a striker who knows where the onion bag is. Its a no from me .

I'm not sure. We will have a lot of young midfielders next year, but we have lacked an experienced holding midfielder for years. His injury worries concern me, but if he were to take a low wage then maybe it would be worth considering.

I agree we need a left back and right sided centre back as a matter of priority. Some pace up top would also be ideal.

Not for me either, think we had the best out of him. You only need to look at last season and David Perkins.

Another no here. Legs have gone, and prone to injuries or red cards.

Agree.

20'ish games @ bury in 2 seasons, 5 months out with a cartilage tear doesn't bode well. 33 years old.

If it happens, he will have more of a coaching role I imagine. Replacing the role BBM used to have. Retain his registration for emergencies/Checkatrade etc......

34 in December, injury prone as shit and fcked us off last time after we helped him back on the football horse. Maybe I am a little bitter but its a huge huge no from me

It wouldn’t be ridiculous to say that he’s probably watched more games at Spotland in the last couple of seasons than he has played for b*ry. He’s been at most home games lately.

The Irish connection, the b*ry connection, lives local, not currently getting paid... hmm.

Money orientated and injury prone. Not for me, Clive.

If he's money orientated, he'll not be arriving at Spotland.

He will if he can’t get any elsewhere.
