Ntlhe not involved. Four at the back again.

Poll: Greatest Ever Dale Game

Must've picked up a knock you'd imagine, shame really but still happy with that team.Would've possibly preferred 5 at the back today but can't complain with the XI.

Even with Ntlhe out, interesting that Delaney's not even on the bench. Don't think he's featured at all under BBM, and suspect he'll be released, unless under contract beyond the end of the season

He signed a big contract when he signed, until summer 2021. Still very young, I think he's worth keeping, still got potential for me.

If you're as slow and cumbersome as he is at the age of 22 then your positional understanding and reading of the game has to be quite exceptional if you are to make it. Sadly, it isn't. Not good enough imo

I take we are talking about Nlthe. he is 25 not 22, and if memory serves is is out of contract this summer.

No, Delaney, but yes you're right, Ntlhe's is up in the summer but I would think he's done enough since Hill left to earn at least another year.

That was clearly a description of Delaney.

Yes would agree with you about Delaney, I think we need to either ship him out on loan next season or get rid

I'd be shocked if BBM didn't keep Nthle, he's looked like a different player since BBM came in

Could say every player has looked a different level since bbm came in

I saw enough of Delaney last year to know that he's a player who can have a good career in the lower leagues. We (including me) were quick to right off McArdle and he's done OK for himself. They're pretty similar players.

It wouldn't surprise me if Delaney's confidence is shot at the moment after the last few months of Hill's reign and he doesn't yet have the experience to bounce back like McNulty has.

It's a fair point (apart from right (sic) off!) but as others have said, perhaps a spell out on loan would help him, especially with being under contract, and see if he sinks or swims at a slightly lower level

Tranmere 1-0 against MKD, Perkins. Just sayin...

Edit: 1-1 already, he probably gave the ball away...

Further edit: and now he goes off injured. Gesticulating too hard?

Still outside the bottom 4 as it stands. If its the same in 45 mins then its been a good afternoon despite the expected loss from Dale.

This was always the hardest fixture we had left. After we get this out of the way we can focus on some really winnable games.

I'll be glad when this game is out of the way. Then we can concentrate on some home games with a more positive outlook...

What we don't want is a heavy defeat that saps confidence, so hoping for a decent effort this half. A day for keeping an eye on other scores (and Lancs cricket - nice to see Hameed getting a ton and Jones too).
