My first choice would have been Paul Hurst, but if as fitzochris has posted on another thread that he believes he is not interested, then what are peoples views on Heckingbottom.
Personally think he would be a great appointment.

He’s Hibs’ manager.

Can't see beyond BBM especially if performances continue to show more heart. I reckon BBM plus his choice of assistant.

I tbink the board will stick with BBM until the end of season and then go from there....
Like many have already said about the board that they have resided to the fact that dale will be playing in lg2 next season...

If Dale do by the grace of god(no thompson now)stay up a decent manager is required with BBM as his side kick...

At least one director insists that our 'natural level' is the Conference. What does that tell you ?

“It is easier to fool people, than to convince them that they have been fooled”

WHo said that? As we have never played there , seems odd. I could accept bottom half of league two

Poll: Will you download and use the contract tracing App being launched by the Govt

That the board have no ambition and no wish to finance anything on the playing side.

Poll: Now the club has refused to move on sesaon ticket prices what will you now do?

Your post tells me you're probably taking something out of context for the purposes of attacking the Board.

I seem to recall a while back comment being made along the lines of if you take attendances/home support, guaranteed financial backing (Fylde and Salford immediately come to mind) then our level would be...wherever. It's true that on certain measures there are teams in League 2, the National League and beyond that would rank above us depending on how you would want to pull together those stats. Our 'natural position' in these terms would be lower League 2 or 'Conference' - I would suggest that the Director is a realist and recognises the challenges we face being a club with a small and disinterested catchment area/population and having to compete also with monied teams that are distorting the supposed level playing field.
