Joy and Hope on 15:37 - Dec 16 with 1716 views | A1079 | That felt like the longest 5 minutes of my live - which of course, is an overstatement - but you know what I mean. Feel so happy with that though. I thought that extra minute the official added on for time-wasting could bite us. Absolutely brilliant feeling though. How long have we waited for this?
Joy and Hope on 15:47 - Dec 16 with 1665 views | BarnetSaint | My Xmas has suddenly got ten times better! The many arsenal fans i know up here very gracious in defeat. COYS

Joy and Hope on 15:50 - Dec 16 with 1646 views | 1885_SFC | Yep. Proves what an uninspiring dinosaur Hughes was. The new gaffer certainly has a lot of passion. Sets us up nicely for Huddersfield. Hope Redmond makes it. Ings might have scored twice today - but Redmond was my Man of the Match.

Joy and Hope on 17:23 - Dec 16 with 1492 views | saint22 | Get in and well done Ralph!! Just need to eliminate those silly passes in front of goal!
Joy and Hope on 17:25 - Dec 16 with 1481 views | Ron11 | Yes Redmond my man of the match too
Joy and Hope on 17:29 - Dec 16 with 1471 views | Butty101 | I expect Nicks report to lament Ralph for not picking Hoedt.

Joy and Hope on 17:44 - Dec 16 with 1420 views | kingslandstand1 | Redmond without doubt MOTM. The players were obviously not inspired by Hughes enough to play for him but with all his pay offs I doubt if he gives a sh1t
Joy and Hope on 19:43 - Dec 16 with 1288 views | Bridders2 | I was looking at the table yesterday thinking that no matter how good Hasenhuttl is, he won't be able to save us this season.....today I can see us steadily moving up the table to safety and beyond. To beat a top 6 side who haven't been beaten in 22 games, in his second game is nothing short of incredible. All hail Ralph!
Joy and Hope on 05:51 - Dec 17 with 1060 views | oldeastterrace | This win was so unexpected too, that is what makes it feel even more special. Whatever way you look at it this is an incredible turn around in just one week. As high as i feel after this win I am trying to keep my feet on the ground as we face many challenges, however, this manager is going to be a bloody good appointment, everybody feels this way. To see players like Vestergaard improve so much after one week with Hassenhuttle shows this. It also shows the inadequacies of previous management. I am sure we will get a few hiccups but I see us now heading in an upward direction. When Hassenhuttl starts signing his own players then i reckon we will really push on.
Joy and Hope on 06:26 - Dec 17 with 1047 views | rbl | Hasenhüttl is an incredible manager, who's had nothing but success. He coached no-name Ingolstadt to a strong mid-table finish in their only Bundesliga season in Germany, then took newly promoted RB Leipzig to second place in their first Bundesliga season. Both clubs played beautiful football under him. He wasn't sacked for poor results at Leipzig; he quit because of differences about a contract extension. You picked up one of the most talented, and most likable, managers in the business.
Joy and Hope on 07:11 - Dec 17 with 1002 views | TheMoog | A pedant would write something about 'a strong mid-table finish in their only Bundesliga season'. But yes, I think it is pretty clear Saints have finally found the manager that was needed after the last few. Exciting times with a dash of caution; one swallow etc.

Joy and Hope on 09:45 - Dec 17 with 945 views | 1885_SFC | I have read in places that he was being tipped as a future Bayern Munich & Dortmund manager. German fans reckon we are very lucky to get him! I think he wanted to try his hand in England & Saints seemed like a good option at the time for both him and the club. As others have said ; one swallow etc etc. But it's great to see quick, exciting, high pressing football again instead of the dour tripe we've been served in recent times. Imagine what Ralph could do after a couple of transfer windows!

Joy and Hope on 09:50 - Dec 17 with 937 views | saint22 | i for one would take a strong mid table finish every season plus a cup final or two ;)
Joy and Hope on 10:28 - Dec 17 with 905 views | Leslie_Hughes | A manager in control, yes?

Joy and Hope on 11:01 - Dec 17 with 888 views | saint22 | Funny how good it can look once Les was removed from the hiring process hey?
Joy and Hope on 11:37 - Dec 17 with 867 views | gentlekenneth | So Koeman and ‘Poch’ were bad appointments, yes? Or did he nod off for those ones and Joan the tea lady stepped in to get the deals done?
Joy and Hope on 14:43 - Dec 17 with 832 views | rbl | At Leipzig, Naby Keita and Timo Werner, and a few others that made a big impact, were signed in Hasenhüttl's first season. The ideas probably didn't come from him, but at least he must have seen the potential and said "yes." Werner was considered a bit of a failure at Stuttgart at the time, a talent that never made good. After a few weeks under Hasenhüttl he was starter in the national team that had just won the World Cup. Keita was a superstar in that first year, although he dropped off in the second season when he was set to move to Liverpool. The Leipzig team must have tripled in value during that year. In the second season, Hasenhüttl began to reduce the intensity of their playing style a bit, because they had CL to deal with, and a small roster. Narrowly exited at the group stage, lost the CL spot in the final phase of the Bundesliga season, and then the club had a chance to pick up Hoffenheim's wonderkid coach, a year later, apparently beating Bayern to him. Hasenhüttl resigned in frustration, leaving Leipzig fans shocked. The team always played well under him, just like Ingolstadt before it, so I don't see him being a "one swallow" kind of manager.
Joy and Hope on 14:44 - Dec 17 with 831 views | saint22 | Maybe he got those right with a little help then his ego took over a little bit hey pal??
Joy and Hope on 16:21 - Dec 17 with 784 views | Bridders2 | It's common knowledge that Corsese was the one who identified Poch
Joy and Hope on 16:36 - Dec 17 with 763 views | franniesTache | It's common knowledge, but also wrong.
Joy and Hope on 16:56 - Dec 17 with 749 views | gentlekenneth | Was there nothing that man couldn’t do? Banker, top football scout and SFC overlord all in one. Strange no one has taken him on after leaving us isn’t it?
