Much to the annoyance of my family, I can’t bring myself to throw anything Pool related away. The upper reaches of my garage are littered with old scrapbooks, programmes and signed shirts through the decades. My proudest possession is an old wooden rattle (painted a tacky shade of orange) that attended the 53 cup final. It was given to me by a lovely old barmaid at the Golden Ball in Poulton. After her husband died, she wanted it to have a good home. Is it just me that hangs on to what most sane people would consider junk? | | | |  |
