Absolutely right about Puel. Horrible football to watch at home but couldn’t argue with 8th and a final in a season when the top 6 started to really pull away. Spoilt whining anuses who didn’t like his interview style. Our fans and club 100% deserve relegation. | |

Puel got to 8th place and a cup final on what he inherited. Has everybody forgotten the insipid bland football at home (although some great away results) with no wins or goals at home after the Cup Final which has continued right up until now? P!ss poor team selection and tactics in Europe which didn't get us past group stage which was unforgivable, who knows what a good euro run could have done for the club. It was the absolute p!ss poor replacement and transfer policy that has led to where we are now.
No way would I want a Fat Sam or Saggy Bollix Faced Coont type quick fix replacement. I'm pretty sure Hughes didn't tell those so called professionals to not even attempt to tackle anybody in or near the box, or fail to complete 6 feet passes to team mates.
Lets get back to whatever Hughes was doing when he 1st arrived and put teams like Arsenal and Chelsea under the cosh. | | | |

That exactly sums it up ericofarabia. The football under Puel for the most part was dire. I did not call for his head as I was a bit uncomfortable about sacking someone who got us to a final and 8th, but after that cup final we were awful to watch, and I was not bothered that he had gone. People say we fans have got what we deserved. No we have not. What we were saying when Puel was the manager was, we wanted better. We could not score, the performances were like the interviews - great if you suffered from insomnia.
Ok, in hindsight, perhaps Puel really was unable to get anything better out of the players and that has become magnified under Pelligrino (who you could see from day One was not upto the job and the wrong appointment).
Our recruitment of managers and players have been truly awful over the last 3 seasons. I never thought for one minute that Hughes could be a long term answer but to replace him with Allardyce, just seems like jumping from one crisis management to another. | | | |

Agreed he wasn't scoring the own goals but he is the one who continues to start the likes of Hoedt who is clearly not consistent enough, yet Hughes appears to be the only one who cannot see this.

Complacent due to a lack of competition in the 1st team squad. Get some of the young and hungry players to show this squad what they used to be like when they first got into football.
I remember when Harrison Reed was given his chance and he came on as a sub, ran at the defenders and also chasing the ball down when we didnt have it. That lifted the whole team and the crowd.
