The rule may be a bit stupid, but not as stupid as players who take off their shirts knowing that they will get a yellow for it.
I understand why he did it yesterday, but all he had to do was lift his shirt up.

I don’t see why they should have, to be honest. If officials start allowing some messages then it opens a can of worms. Obviously I think that he should have been allowed to show the message but like I said, if officials start debating what to allow and what not to allow, it could be a very tricky situation.

They can show any messages they want just by lifting their shirt (ooh missus), so they are not booked for showing messages. They are booked because no one wants another Glggler rug or Lita waxjob on display. So yeah Gray was a total dick and if anyone deserves flak it is him.
