Last season we took a whopping 5 points from the home and away games against the promoted sides of Huddersfield, Newcastle and Brighton.
If only it were that simple - winning those 6 games.
The very teams we need to be beating will in turn be targeting teams like us, for points home and away.
We are capable of grinding out results when they are needed, but are equally capable of collapsing in important games like Newcastle away, saying it won't happen again, then doing the same away to West Ham. [Post edited 23 Sep 2018 21:43]

This season has a worrying trend to last season. A decent set of early fixtures, chucking away points at home to the likes of Burnley/Leicester and Brighton, an away win at palace to be around mid table before we play a tough run of games vs a few top teams. I think we’ll be more comfortable than last season, but it’s a joke that we concede weak goals, and we have to start with Shane Long. | |
