First multiple goal game since Swans 4 West Ham 1 last season.

First Win in a competitive match since West Ham as well

First comeback from a deficit to win since the Arsenal game last year.

First Away Win since the Watford comeback in Carvahal's first match in charge. (Including the three FA Cup away matches last year) Also the last time we scored multiple goals away.

We were on fire for a brief moment in January and February, and even looked pretty safe to stay up at that rate, before it all came crashing down in spectacular fashion.

That one vs Arsenal and Dec 30 at Watford were 2 nice memories from a long nightmare.

Bit late for that, we’ve already sold them both for substantially more than we paid for them.

Not really the point I was making.

They haven’t turned into worse players overnight, so those players of whom this board creams over still. won’t have clubs falling over themselves to pay more than they were acquired for last summer. In fact they would struggle to get half for either.

That was just before Ayew senior's malign influence took effect on his brother and we stopped offering any threat up front. (except for the West ham game when there was obviously another motivation)

I stand in the North Stand

What happens to them after they leave us isn’t really our concern though is it? In fact I’m sure they both still easily fetch what we paid for them (I think Ben Davies and Vorm were valued around £15m at the time).

In fairness to Jenkins he got top dollar for both of them. The problem was obviously spending it on Mesa, Clucas, Bony and Andre Ayew. All of whom have deprecated massively.

For me the wheels came off our chance of survival the week after the west spam game.
JA was playing the best/most consistent football he’d played since joining us, till if you recall he got sent off after 10mins up at Huddersfield the following week. We held on for a nil-nil draw in a game I’m sure we’d have won had he stayed on the pitch. We had our tails up and were really going for it in every game.
3 matches later he came back and was way off the pace again and that as they say, was that!

After Huddersfield draw :
9 games - 2 draws, 7 losses
(To clarify, 1 game was QF FA Cup against Spurs)

Agreed. He was in top form at that point. Never recovered it and nobody else stepped up

Darran's definitely right about you.

Dear me.

You clearly aren’t understanding the point I am making.

It is being suggested that Clucas is not a good player because clubs aren’t lining up to sign him.

That notion should be consistent whether Swansea is the club involved or not.

Hence the Gylfi and Llorente point. Players that they would certainly never be able to shift for close to what they purchased for, yet they are still lauded.

Darran and right do not belong in the same sentence.

Dry your eyes.

Siggy and Clucas don't deserve to be in the same sentence either funnily enough.

Then if you believe that, you have just proved that the initial point was nonsense - the one I am correctly dismantling.
