Something has to change. I don't know about some of the other regulars I think twice about coming on here now. This place never used to be for 'ignoring' other posters.

I really think it's down to how you (not you personally Pat) talk to people. I've never attacked anyone and no one on here has ever had a go at me.
Seriously if you have a problem with particular posters - the usual suspects as you call them - then why not DM Nick and name them specifically and let him sort it out offline. Otherwise these things go on forever and get nowhere. | | | |

Have you ever thought that part of the problem might be that you don't take criticism and 'teasing' very well? Dirk is another one. To be fair to him, Saint22 gets endless stick (and rightly so, he is unbelievably irritating) but he hardly whines about it at all (too busy whining about the club to have time in fairness..). The old adage of 'would you say that to someone in a pub' should apply to the Ugly. So, if someone says something that in my opinion appears to be untrue or is only there to further an agenda then, yes, I would take issue with it. At the end of the day, this is a football forum and a bit of close-to-the-bone banter is surely acceptable? It isn't so much about taking it seriously, it is about each and every comment we make being then hijacked and trolled with silly comments about budgies, Alan, calling Pat a liar and so on. Once in a while might be OK, but it happens to some of us every post we make. Saint22 is another one. He has done nothing wrong and offended no one yet has to put up with being called a moron and such like nearly each time he makes a post.
Some one above said, say only what you would say in a pub. I can tell yo now no one here would say that sort of thing to any of us face to face, that is why they are here and doing it here as they are sad lonely cyber bullies who have no life. | |

No worries 22, branflakes is a prime example. He accuses everyone of ignoring others opinons But he starts his post with having a go yourself and me,for having opinoms of our own.
So the gang are worried they are getting criticised. He uses the usual 'it's only banter' excuse when joinimg in the pisstaking.
That gang wants to change the whole identity of the ugly, most after being kicked off the other sites.
Many a good poster has left here because of thier antics, I dont post as often as I use to for the same reason.
It used to be enjoyable to come on here as a Saints fan, but this gang has changed that, I think twice of posting on here now after more than 10 years.
Saints fans who are not in their little 'cliche' are made to feel unwelcome.. just look at the welcome you got when your first started to post? | |

Well I am perplexed at the special treatment I am getting. I have voluntarily submitted my passport to support@fansnetwork.co.uk and now been told that is not enough....has anyone else been through all this just to join this site?
Thank you for that, Fansnetwork have received that now, but we do need to be able to verify either your ISP address or physical address ie your name on the electoral role or similar, you have our assurance that everyone's personal data is confidential and not shared elsewhere.
We will be running it through our system in the next day or so and will get back to you on this.
I will say though that we if people our found to be using VPN's we do ask for proof of address, sorry to be strict on this, but due to previous problems we have system that we follow, it does not raise an issue with genuine posters and in fact most shave welcomed this | |

I'm sick to death of the bickering on this site, we all need to take a step back and behave like adults, we have worked tirelessly over the past few months to try and eradicate it, but still the same old people keep coming back and rehashing the same old comments and it has to stop
There aren't the number of multi posters that people think there are, a lot of people who post on here have verified their identities to us, there are times when the site cannot be monitored 24/7 and some people take advantage of it.

Don’t know why you keep getting yourself worked up Pat? If you haven’t worked out the dynamics of this site by now, you never will! Nick is the main beneficiary of this site, the more traffic the more he makes, this is a well known fact. So for anyone that has followed Saints regularly you’d have come across Nick and his crew, you would then also know which of them post on here and which ones talk the most nonsense and which ones like a bit of a wind up! In addition there’s also a few on here that get banned but are allowed back under another log in, that again is quite clear to anyone with half a brain! Now, the cynic in me says that Nick knows exactly who these people are, I know for a fact he certainly knows some of them as they travel to away games with him! Others on here I know a bit about who are certainly questionable. At the end of the day I remain extremely cynical, all this from Nick about this site being shut down just seems to be another way to generate traffic, as some of the nonsense most certainly comes from his mates!
It’s a shame really, as I like most have been reading The Ugly Inside since it’s inception in the late 80’s and indeed still have the first and many of the early copies. Even a quite a few years back it was still worth reading, nowadays?
The destiny of this site is entirely in Nicks hands, but what is most important to him, continued bullshit hits or longevity? Does Support actually exist or just another made up character to generate traffic?
