Calls to axe 'racist' Zulu film on 18:42 - Jun 26 with 1668 views | peenemunde | British soldiers outnumbered and fighting thousands of miles from home, the only way they win these wars is because of superiority :- weapons, tactics and British warrior spirit. You may not like that, but that’s the truth. And what documentary are you talking about? [Post edited 26 Jun 2018 18:48]

Calls to axe 'racist' Zulu film on 18:48 - Jun 26 with 1647 views | E20Jack | Which is your usual go-to response when you have dug yourself neck deep in your own stupidity. For someone who doesn’t hang off my every word, you don’t half change your views to align yourself with mine often (under a militant and petulant guise of course, can’t lose too much face now). Your turn. (Yawn)

Calls to axe 'racist' Zulu film on 19:03 - Jun 26 with 1595 views | exiledclaseboy | It’s neither a documentary nor a docudrama. It’s a work of fiction based on real events. Interpretation not required.

Calls to axe 'racist' Zulu film on 19:07 - Jun 26 with 1573 views | Lord_Bony | Well then, argue that point with the curator of The South Wales Borderes museum,Brecknockshire. He seems to be the definitive voice on the subject.

Calls to axe 'racist' Zulu film on 19:09 - Jun 26 with 1563 views | exiledclaseboy | He obviously doesn’t know what a documentary is either. And what makes him definitive?

Calls to axe 'racist' Zulu film on 19:11 - Jun 26 with 1552 views | E20Jack | As a side note. Growing up as a kid, I always had a deep fear of the Zulu warriors purely based on that film. I think they portrayed them as magnificent and fearsome warriors. Although revisiting the film in adulthood I was surprised how bad it was in terms of realism when it came to the combat parts of the scenes, a bit slapstick. Caveat - I realise my fear of Zulu warriors was a bit misplaced growing up in South Wales, but rabies also seemed to be a genuine fear amongst children at that time for some reason [Post edited 26 Jun 2018 19:12]

Calls to axe 'racist' Zulu film on 20:00 - Jun 26 with 1411 views | Jonathans_coat | Okay....... I’ve just stumbled into this shitstorm, so here it goes:- 1. It is not a documentary. It is a work of fiction, based on actual historical events. It is a pretty accurate depiction, but that still doesn’t make it a documentary. 2. There seems to be arguements over which side was looking to kill the other. Both we’re trying kill the other! It was a BATTLE in a WAR. 3. There were acts of immense bravery and sacrifice on both side (again, battle, war) 4. There were acts of immense violence and savagery on both sides (you get the picture) 5. Is the film racist? - (opinion warning) - No. as previously stated it is a fairly accurate depiction of historical events, so if it’s racist, it’s only because the history is racist. Lots of Germans die in Kelly’s Heroes but nobody calls that racist. 6. Should we care - No. it’s not getting banned is it? Just some nonsense right wing click bait from Facebook designed to further foster and entrench their hideous form of racial nationalism. I await the insults and accusations of hypocrisy/self righteousness/arrogance/ignorance/being a snowflake/being a racist/being boring...........ect ad absurdum.
