Planet Swans 22:10 - Mar 26 with 28715 views | Phil_S | So then...forum aside this site has become a little bit of a walking disaster over the last year (and more) as someone pointed out the other day the site rarely gets updated with news since the last writer got fed up of the abuse of doing so..! Anyway, the good (!) news is that I have a couple of people prepared to write and I have some time that I can devote to it again. What I dont want to happen is the site to become a regurgitation of news elsewhere although news elsewhere can of course create opinion articles. The question though is what do you - the good readers of Planet Swans (or as seems to be the one person with endless usernames) - want to see from the site going forward?
Planet Swans on 13:54 - Mar 28 with 1597 views | magicdaps10 | Think some of us are going down that route. Some will not.

Planet Swans on 14:42 - Mar 28 with 1567 views | Lord_Bony | You are still being considered for a ban at the moment. If I was you I would change my tune sharpish.
| |
Planet Swans on 15:08 - Mar 28 with 1534 views | Phil_S | With the greatest respect what is he being considered for a ban for? Hes rarely right on transfers but that's not a banning offence?
Planet Swans on 15:24 - Mar 28 with 1517 views | Lord_Bony | With the greatest respect Phil, I would rather discuss such matters in private, not on the forum.
| |
Planet Swans on 15:25 - Mar 28 with 1509 views | Phil_S | With even greater respect you were the one that bought it into the forum in the first place
Planet Swans on 15:27 - Mar 28 with 1497 views | Lord_Bony | If you would like to discuss moderating matters with me,this is not the place sorry.
| |
Planet Swans on 15:28 - Mar 28 with 1487 views | Phil_S | Lets keep it simple Theres no logical reason for a ban so there wont be one And idle threats of banning should not happen on the forum. Job is done. Matter is closed
Planet Swans on 15:33 - Mar 28 with 1472 views | Lord_Bony | Right let's get this straight then. This poster started a thread condemning people on here with multi user names. He was found out to be using another user name himself and being hypocritical by his own admittance. That's not fair on the site or other posters on here....on most sites multi usernames are discourag ed by a soft or hard ban. That's how it s. Are you saying then it's ok for posters to have multi usernames because as mods we don't know what you want in this respect. Can you enlighten everyone please? Thank you.

Planet Swans on 15:48 - Mar 28 with 1446 views | thornabyswan | It made me chuckle as I typed it I actually like Res as a poster and I have copped abuse a couple of times. My adviice is don't take it to seriously at the end of the day we are all Swans fans. This place always goes a bit mad when there is a break from the football.
| |
Planet Swans on 15:53 - Mar 28 with 1432 views | swan65split | I have differing views on some posters, and I agree we are all SWANS fans. for the moment I am keeping schtumm on things until required but thanks for that comment ......i needed it
Planet Swans on 16:26 - Mar 28 with 1379 views | Phil_S | There is no reason why you would feasibly want to ban anyone who uses multiple usernames Especially as you have nothing to base that proof on other than some spurious things that you as a moderator can see in the background. And the same information that I told you categorically over the weekend should not be put into the public domain (i.e. IP addresses which do not prove the existence of a multiple username) It is not a case of you not knowing what I want it is more a case of you just deciding to enforce something that you personally don't like but to most of the watching public we can step away from because this is - after all - just an internet forum to discuss a variety of topics And for the record I couldn't give two hoots what other sites have as ways of dealing with things - many football forums will ban any non football chat. As someone else pointed out it is part of the "charm" of this site
Planet Swans on 16:28 - Mar 28 with 1374 views | Darran | Ban him Phil.

Planet Swans on 16:30 - Mar 28 with 1369 views | Phil_S | Does he use a multiple username?

Planet Swans on 16:36 - Mar 28 with 1355 views | Lord_Bony | Ok so for the record it ok for posters to have multiple user names? Great then I have no problem with that. Might even get some myself now that I know it's ok.😂

Planet Swans on 16:40 - Mar 28 with 1337 views | Jackfath | I think I may get one or two, too.

Planet Swans on 16:41 - Mar 28 with 1336 views | Flashberryjack | I think I'll do the same, so I can agree with myself.

Planet Swans on 16:49 - Mar 28 with 1319 views | Darran | Bones this public humiliation of you by the site owner could easily have been avoided if you knew how to moderate properly. If you weren’t happy with someone having two usernames to use to their advantage all you had to was ban the newest one and say fuçk all like I used to do. Now if you need any advice on how to do things properly you only have to PM me. [Post edited 28 Mar 2018 16:49]

Planet Swans on 16:52 - Mar 28 with 1307 views | Jackfath | That's a very kind offer. Damn, you're a nice man and someone many on here should aspire to emulate.

Planet Swans on 16:55 - Mar 28 with 1293 views | DJack | ...or Darran could have pm'd him this advise without publicly highlighting it.
