The Baseball Ground and the Vetch Field were very quirky like The Dell. Highbury was probably my favourite, despite the nightmarish Adrian Heath flashbacks.

Maine Rd
Highbury
Roker Park

And the greatest compliment I've heard from countless other fans from around the country was hating coming down to the Dell, as it was seen as an horrendous ground to get a result especially for many of rhe so called Big clubs.

Forgot about filbert street, that was a decent ground.

I liked Upton Park but I hate west ham and their cheeky, cockney every loves us we won the World Cup for England nonsense.

Always had a lot of time for Loftus Road, proper Subbuteo ground.
Selhurst Parl but really for Dellhurst memories.
Highbury away was a decent crack, the David Howells equaliser was a decent one.

Interesting that all of the above mentioned grounds were considered too antiquated, too small, too knackered and too run down and therefore had to be bulldozed and replaced. One club however, thought: 'Yes, our ground is an absolute sh*thole, but f*ck it, let's spunk all our money on winning the FA Cup". Your stadium should be in a museum mate. Embarrassing.

We saw some amazing games and players.
But of course its all about winning things, come to think of it apart from winning a FA Cup which cost you so dear, why do you have to keep harping about what you won probably before you were born?

A high percentage of our games. In contrast, Fratton Park is one of the weakest grounds for home advantage:

Maine Road (obviously, and mainly because of the Kippax when it was standing)

Apart from that, I'd go:

Highbury
The Boleyn
The Den

Close shout for the Dell too, all decent old-school grounds with great atmospheres at times.

Still stood in the Kippax
