Anyone else just getting bored of all this? on 21:04 - Jan 16 with 1008 views | Chapstick | I was bored with it at least 10 years ago mate. But we are fools to ourselves each and everyone of us. We hate what the game has become. we hate the oligarch types that have ruined the game with their money. But do you know who has really ruined the game? All of us plugged into and paying Sky Sports.

Anyone else just getting bored of all this? on 22:14 - Jan 16 with 922 views | Gennaro_Contaldo | Yep - exactly this! I only go for social occasions now, beers, chat, football as a side show. The players are divs, but fuelled by the football manager/Soccer AM generation who lap it all up and talk about about Pep this and Ibra that. Never played a match in their life.

Anyone else just getting bored of all this? on 22:19 - Jan 16 with 903 views | Boris_ | Same. That's why our lot spend more time watching Eastleigh nowadays. Just takes away all of the negatives you mention and leaves it just as a day on the beers with the lads and a bit of footy to watch to break the day up.

Anyone else just getting bored of all this? on 22:43 - Jan 16 with 856 views | KiwiSaint | Unfortunately I think this all started with the en masse clear out of Lallana, etc. SFC made some shrewd signings like Mane, Pelle and made some good money but they started to believe that it was something that could make money for the club season after season (Just because we use the Southampton Way) Even then it was obvious our academy was not producing world class talent but many chose to believe in the dream because the going was good. This has only fueled and enabled the slow rot, stepping stone mentality and the buy cheap, sell big business model at the expense of forming a meaningful team on the pitch and keeping a decent manager prolonging a good run of results, and keeping those high potential players wanting to sign with SFC - The house of cards it always was. I was never believing that we would always be in the top six or get into Europe but it felt like we really were at the threshold of pushing forward into new territory but unfortunately I believe the board have blown the opportunity by not nearly investing well enough into the team and now it's come home to roost.
Anyone else just getting bored of all this? on 09:07 - Jan 17 with 714 views | Chapstick | It becomes even more odd when you consider how people hate Murdoch and his like, yet they willingly fill his wallet with their hard earned cash to watch over paid players they hate in matches that have no relevance to their own club. I really have never been able to fathom the Sky Sports phenomena.

Anyone else just getting bored of all this? on 09:10 - Jan 17 with 705 views | Hua_Hin_Saint | There are other sports covered on sky you know. Maybe people like the cricket/rugby coverage sky show. People do like other sports. I think it’s weird when people only like football.

Anyone else just getting bored of all this? on 09:16 - Jan 17 with 696 views | solent_toffee | This all day long. I have a season ticket for Everton and going the game is great because I go out for a few pints before and after with my brothers and mates that wouldn't happen as much without the football. Normally organising a few pints/night out is a mission, work, other commitments, child minding, even money. But football takes precedence over that and there's no way organising involved, same pub, same time ore match, go with the flow after the game. It's brilliant, fk SKY, fk the tellyclapping phone in freaks, fk Pep, Klopp, Jose, I don't care, they will never it away from me. Unless SKY move it to a Monday like, then I'm fked.
Anyone else just getting bored of all this? on 09:35 - Jan 17 with 667 views | franniesTache | Absolutely spot on, and one of the reasons i prefer away games to home games too, much rather a day out on the piss with my mates at an away than going to st mary's.
