Odds slashed on him in the last hour, favourite with Sky bet.

Won 4 Dutch titles playing decent football at Ajax (the last time they won it)

Palace was the wrong team with the players he had (some could say them same about ours)

More importantly due to his Ajax connections would fuk John the Clog off.

A yes from me

I agree. Palace was not the fit for him

And we've got the right players?

Which ones?

The quality of the Palace squad is better than ours.

Not sure about this one. I think we do have some players that can pass and move. They have been brainwashed and drilled relentlessly not to do so.

Sometimes something like this can come off. hell of a risk, but so's anything just now. Puel was hated at Soton and has jump started Fester.

I was a big supporter of bringing him in before that disaster at Palace. If we DO sign him it has to surely be long term with accepting relegation.

I agree. Give him the window to bring in a couple of decent players and let him build from there.

After his Palace stint I expect he has to pay us to have a go.

Good luck, Mr Cooper

I like him but for me the timing is wrong but anything is possible.

Failed at Inter because it was too big for him, failed at Palace because it was the wrong club for him......he plays football and Palace players didnt know how too.

We are not Ajax either. Watch Palace run rings round us on Saturday. Wrong man.

I stand in the North Stand

Its quite amusing that some fans are turning their noses up at De Boer

Very interesting thought posted over in the general 'next manager' discussion thread - Bergkamp has just been dismissed along with the entire management team over at Ajax.

What about De Boer with Bergkamp as assistant? Leon stays on the coaching staff, bet Mr. Frank would adore seeing some of his old, passing footage.

Issue being I cant imagine De Boer/Bergkamp being cheap.

Also I'd imagine there would be a fair bit of head shaking (especially from Bergkamp) when they watched our players passing ability.

Whoever it is surely it must be with the longer view in mind?

The appointment must be for next season as well whether we go down or stay up. Someone who will bring a style of play and be allowed to obtain players that are comfortable executing that style.

Hopefully, might actually try to raise the standard then

He'd watch the first touch of 75% of our players and get back in his car and drive off.

Ain't that the truth

""Although I cannot promise or predict the future, I can guarantee one thing - the current board of directors will always fight, as we have done over the last 12 years, to work together as one with the Supporters Trust to make 100% sure that Swansea City football club remains the number one priority in all our thoughts and in every decision we make."

He'd have a bit of scope with improvement
